Overall, this was not a good stay. There was no hot water, and the rooms lack basic comfort features like air conditioning. The sheets were unusually heavy for the warm weather, making it uncomfortable to sleep. On top of that, the curtains don’t fully block out light at night. The room itself is quite small for the price, which makes the value feel poor. The hotel also has strict policies — no visitors allowed, and no flexibility with cancellations or booking changes. Noise is another issue. A nearby rooftop restaurant plays loud music until around 1 a.m., which makes it difficult to rest. Taken together, the experience didn’t meet expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

La ubicación es la mejor, muy céntrico, justo a la vuelta del arco. El desayuno muy completo, desayuno típico y también americano. El personal muy amable. Las instalaciones son preciosas, arquitectura colonial y la decoración hermosa, cuenta con una hermosa terraza en el techo con vistas impresionantes al volcán y a toda Antigua , ideal para fotografías. Es mi tercera ocasión en ese hotel y no me decepciona.

El la segunda planta el techo del baño es hermoso porque es de vidrio y en la noche se ven las estrellas, sin embargo el de mi habitación estaba muy sucio y no se podía apreciar bien

Tastefully decorated,great breakfast,perfect location and surprisingly quiet

Our stay at Meson de Maria was very comfortable and nice. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was helpful and friendly. The rooftop had beautiful views and everything was walking distance.

Ideal close-in location to the Arch, delicious healthy varied breakfast, nice late afternoon coffee/tea/juice & banana bread. Room 206 was spacious, in the back so quiet.

The property is just beautiful - patio/terrace is incredible and the rooftop has incredible views of the three volcanos. However, not all rooms are in higher floors

Not worth the money compared to a private room in a hostel if you’re backpacking and looking for a night of self-care after Acatenango
