The breakfast was lovely and the ladies were exceptionally kind and welcoming

We both love dogs, but I could see that the owners dogs running out to greet you could be off putting to some people. Perhaps keep them away from initial greeting.

Food was lovely, home made to order and good quality. Breakfast exceptional

Could do with more sockets and USB socket in room. Bar a little cluttered.

There wasn't much to like about this place I thought when booking on booking. Com it looked like a oldy worldy pub but inside it was like a cafe and very little selection of drinks

The property didn't have much selection of drinks nothing on tap just limited cans for sale it was like a cafe rather than a nice pub.

It was a lovely stay with Edith and Carrie. They are such warm hosts and they could not have been more welcoming. We lived everything about The Lampet Arms which is so different to staying in a modern, faceless chain hotel we actually felt as though we were staying in someone's home 🏡 and that was more apparent when Carrie served us her delicious home made food. 😋 We had great chats with Edith and between us all we put the world to right. It was all delightful made even more delightful with the entry of the three gorgeous dogs and Carrie's delicious home made cakes .

Nothing to dislike apart from the weather

Lovely large bedroom and bathroom and was met with a friendly welcome.

We arrived on a very cold day and at the time there was no heating on in the room, it did come on about 45 minutes later and was then lovely and warm but it would have been nice to arrive to a warm room. Also the hosts had 3 large dogs and the pub was very dog friendly which was great if you liked dogs but not so good if you didn't. It may help to make this very clear upfront to avoid disappointment from "non dog lovers"

Friendly owner to start with

1- very noisy rowdy guests out of control could not sleep all first night 2- owner making a ridiculous claim that we have caused damage to property which we totally refute 3-beds very uncomfortable

Truly memorable stay from start to finish. In spite of arriving early the welcome from both hosts was outstanding; the bar - and pub dogs - was exactly what every English local pub should be; our accommodation large, warm, spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable; the evening meal outstanding and the breakfast, as covered in most earlier reviews, among the best I've ever had. Our thanks to Edith and Carrie - we'll certainly be back.

Should have stayed longer.

Breakfast was cooked to order, full English was delicious - eggs: scrambled or poached perfectly cooked. Evening meal equally good, lemon meringue pie recommended.
