The Lantana

The Lantana is an absolutely excellent Guest House. Our room was very spacious, clean, well appointed and beautifully decorated. Plus, the shutters on the window meant that during the recent hot weather we could keep the room cool but still get breeze and light in. The room we had overlooked the beach and seafront, and the terrace (which guests have the use of and where breakfast is served on hot days) overlooked the harbour, so you can get the best of both worlds re the view! Wonderful fruit salad included with breakfast, which is plentiful and uses quality ingredients. John and Sandra are wonderful hosts, genuinely interested in their guests, professional and caring. A total first to be offered a cold beer/ glass of wine on arrival!

Not a 'not like' but something for others to bear in mind...The ensuite in our room, although absolutely pristine re cleanliness and condition, was narrow. It was fine for us, but we are both on the slim end of things; might be a squeeze for someone large.

Location perfect. Room clean with sea view. Lovely breakfast in the morning.

Excellent location, with a wonderful room maintained by fantastic hosts. Clean modern rooms with all the facilities, breakfast was to die for.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

Breakfast was included and had everything you might have wanted. The cooked breakfast was especially good and they don't skimp. The views from the room window of Weymouth bay and from the terrace of the harbour were amazing. Breakfast can be taken on the outdoor terrace, weather permitting, which it did on the two days of our stay. We went for the Wessex Folk Festival which together with the rest of Weymouth, fully lived up to our expectations, Weymouth having been extensively and tastefully changed since our last visit.

The shower cubicle was a bit small and bigger people than us may struggle with it.

Sandra and John were incredibly considerate, attentive, and warm hosts. We arrived somewhat later than planned and John was on hand to ensure we were settled in and parked. Catered extremely well for a dietary requirement - Gluten intolerance - going above and beyond. Will be staying again whenever we're next in town!

Fantastic B&B right on the harbour. Everything within walking distance. John and Sandra are the most hospitable of hosts, made you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Lovely rooms with everything you need including a very comfortable bed. Sandra's cooked breakfasts are amazing with best quality fresh local produce. This is now our go to place whenever staying in Weymouth.

The Lantana is a beautiful B&B in the perfect position to enjoy Weymouth . The whole place is spotless and decorated to a high standard . The owners are extremely friendly , nothing is too much trouble for them . We will definitely be back !
