Chambre d’hôtes le Prieuré de Fouchères

Très bon moment passé dans cette chambre d'hôtes. Je recommande .

Tolle Unterkunft, nette Leute - wir waren auf der Durchreise, könnten uns aber einen längeren Aufenthalt gut vorstellen.

We loved it here and received a warm welcome after a long drive. The kids loved the pool and the two friendly, free-ranging rabbits. The room was simple but all we needed for the night. There was a basic kitchen and outdoor seating area for making your own dinner (with bottles of local champagne for sale for €16!). The mini crepes at breakfast were delicious. We loved it so much we booked it again for our return journey.

Excellent accueil. Lieu simple mais où on se sent bien tout de suite avec toute les commodités utiles. Très bonne literie Le gîte et son histoire encore très présente Le village est charmant.

We really loved staying in this historic building, and Sylvie was an excellent host. The room was as described (2 double beds and a single bed, with ensuite) and full of character. The swimming pool was just what we needed after driving all day, and the breakfast was simple and sell prepared (bread, endless crepes and a choice of homemade jams). The outside tables/seating area allowed for us to lay out the meal we'd brought with us, and there was enough crockery and cutlery for our family of five, at the same time that two other families were doing the same. This is not a sleek modern venue, and we loved the history, the authenticity and the calm of the place, and we left much refreshed.

We stayed over night on our way South. Absolutely loved this old Priory. Steeped in history, superb vernacular architecture. A much loved ancestral home. With high ceilings, spiral turrets, huge fireplaces and a friendly big dog and little rabbit. Oh and a sweet pig. The children loved the swimming pool. The host was super friendly and helpful. Thanks for your hospitality.

Fascinating and unique B&B

Rustige, zeer ruime en gezellige kamer, vriendelijke gastvrouw, heerlijk lokaal ontbijt.

We stayed on the way back from Provence to the UK and chose this due to the excellent reviews especially the breakfasts. Unfortunately the breakfast was a terrible disappointment. We booked for 8am, the tea & coffee were cold, there was cereal, bread and crêpes and a good selection of home made jams. No cold meats, fruit or croissants etc. One of the most disappointing continental breakfasts that we have ever had. The owner was delightful and very welcoming but if all you want is a comfortable bed and a reasonable breakfast to set you up for your journey, then this place is not for you.
