Marelen Hotel

It was very nice and totally recommended.

Really friendly staff from the moment we arrived. Unlike most other hotels I've stayed at, there wasn't any need to reserve sun loungers around the pool. This takes away lots of hassle when you're part of a family of four!

The gardens, rooms, food, the staff and main pool all excellent. Location is good too - not too busy, near beach and good selection of shops and restaurants on the main road.

The Marelen Hotel is an excellent hotel. The staff are extremely kind - they are very attentive, nothing is too much trouble for them and they add extra touches which makes your stay extra special. The rooms are well decorated, clean, are air conditioned and all have balconies. The range of food offered at the hotel is also excellent - with a wide variety of tastes being catered for. The hotel also has three pool areas - one for families, one for adults and one for children. Finally, the location of the hotel is ideal - five minute walk from central Kalamaki, two minute walk to Kalamaki beach and less than 10 minutes from the airport. And to top it all off ... you’ll get your own personalised view of the planes landing and taking off from Zakynthos airport ... which adds an additional dimension to your stay! All in all - an excellent hotel, excellent staff and an excellent experience overall! The Marelen Hotel is well worth considering when wanting to stay in Kalamaki in the future.

My family and I stayed at Marelen Hotel in mid-June for 7 nights. The hotel is around 10-15 minutes from Zakynthos International Airport and the taxi fare was 13 Euros. We found the hotel staff to be very friendly and professional and the room (superior double) to be bright and comfortably spacious. We enjoyed using the balcony as we had a room looking on to the chapel so not facing any other rooms and it was a joy to have my cup of tea every morning before getting ready to hit the beach/pool. The hotel has a theme for their dinner menu every night and we ate twice at the hotel - one for thier BBQ night and Zakynthos theme evening and they were both excellent. The dinners are served in buffet style so you're free to choose how much of anything you want to try which made it enjoyable. We also found the breakfast buffet to be fresh and varied and I particularly enjoyed the sausages! They had beans everyday, clearly catering for anyone missing the food in the UK! Overall, the catering in the hotel was exceptional and helpful for feeding our fussy 4-year-old - the cook will be happy to prepare your little one some chicken nuggets and chips if that's what they're after - Sevi, who was in charge of the dining room was brilliant. The Hotel had three swimming pools - the adult pool, the main pool and the splash park. I went to the adult pool twice during our stay and enjoyed the jacuzzi and the tranquility of the adult only space but it doesn't have much of a view and I felt a lit

Had a lovely stay at the Hotel Marelen. Stayed as part of a large wedding party and everyone enjoyed themselves. Sevi on reception is welcoming, friendly and very helpful. There was a good choice at breakfasts and the two buffet dinners we had we great too. For the price, would definitely recommend.
