The Westin Camino Real, Guatemala

This property has everything you need and the staff are very helpful and friendly ,

The lobby was beautiful and the breakfast buffet was amazing. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets and linens were good quality. Overall, Our room was fine but not great. We were in the far corner of the second floor and our entire view out the window was the dirty rooftop of the entry to the building. Also our carpet was wet in our room. I think maybe the carpets had been washed that day???? The hotel seemed really empty and I’m not sure why we were put in a room with a terrible view and wet carpet. Surely there were other rooms available.

Beautiful, clean and great service. Walking distance to Oakland Mall and other restaurant and Bars in the area.

I have traveled many times to Guatemala and have stayed at a few different hotels. But this has been by far the best hotel/ experience I've had in the city. I will only be staying here from now on. Don Mario from the sports bar and Karen gave my dad and I the most enjoyable experience and made our night with their friendly and welcoming service. We also stayed on the executive floor and the gentleman that was tending to the room where snacks and coffee was served in the evening hours was an absolute sweetheart. We also got massages on site which i highly recommend doing while there. The breakfast was delicious and had a variety of foods. We had Giannis for dinner which was great to. Everyone from beginning to end was great.

Hotel is a little old, rooms not renovated but it’s perfectly fine! If you are looking for a higher experience I will recommend other hotel, this one might feel a little old school management!

Room was not ready at check-in time. There was a trundle bed in the room that was not requested and limited mobility.

Unknown why it has 5 stars, nothing out of the ordinary.
