The room itself was very nice.

The parking was the pits. Firstly, charging $20 per day. Second, the underground parking lot was from Hell. An obstacle course.

The room was very spacious and bed was very comfortable.

does need some cosmetic repairs especially to the ladies restroom on the lobby level

We come to White Plains often but never stayed at the Residence Inn before. We were quite satisfied and would stay here again on future visits. The check-in and check-out were smooth and pleasant. Meg was wonderful for both. Parking is available, though there is a $20 charge to park in the attached garage (per day). To me, that is always a rip-off but it seems hotels are charging for these sorts of things all the time now. The room was clean, well equipped, and huge. We were assigned a corner room, so it was especially large, but I understand that all the rooms are pretty spacious. Breakfast was pretty basic, but just fine for a mid-range suites hotel. I did not expect more. The only drawback was not the fault of the hotel - someone near our room was smoking pot, and the smell wafted into our room. We complained to management, and someone came to investigate.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! WOULD GIVE A ZERO RATING IF I COULD The air conditioning did not work and room did not go below a damp 78 degrees all night. The vents were painted over in spots so air flow was terrible. The units were obviously very old and completely inefficient( There is black mold in the bathroom sink overflow The corner window in living room leaked water in, and the ceiling in the corner is falling down and saturated. Looking up in the hole, I saw mold and god knows what else up there that was exposed by the hole from the crumbling ceiling And, to top off the experience, I was LOCKED IN my room this morning as the deadbolt would not move. Maintenance came up and he shook the handle, which I obviously already did before calling the front desk. He then left and finally came back and somehow got the door to open.
