Lanta Ray Bay Hotel

We had a lovely time staying here. It was just a short walk from the beach. The room was cute and clean. The staff were wonderful and helped us arrange excursions and transport. No elevator available so if stairs aren’t possible for you than don’t book. Otherwise it was great!

The room was overall clean and spacious. The staff was nice and helpful, they called us a taxi from the hotel to the pier on the day of our check-out, we had to leave really early in the morning. The hotel is very close to the beach and there are many restaurants, bars etc. around. The cleaning ladies came to the room every day but usually around noon or in the afternoon and we were in the room at that time so we had to ask them to wait until we leave.

Definitely looks much better on the pictures than it actually is. The furniture is very dated and the blanket cover had like three holes in it. The surrounding of the hotel is not very nice, we had a view at really old and poor building next door which was very close so we kind of had to keep the curtains shut most of the time. The building of the hotel seems very old and definitely needs some reconstruction. However the terraces are nice and there is definitely some potential to make very nice hotel out of it. The stay includes breakfast but we went there just once of our three mornings, they serve it in a hall which doesn't seem to be quite clean and there is not much variety of the food.

Location was close to the beach and many stores and restaurants. Breakfast was included.

The hotel needs some upgrades, and the standard room & bathroom were small. Close to main street that runs along the coast, so very noisy at times. Expensive for what you get, but prices are higher in 2025.

I loved staying at the property. The location was perfect. Extremely walkable and close to the beach, with tons of vendors and shopping options. As you cannot use bolt or grab on the island, walking and taxis are accessible. I preferred to walk since everything you could need is accessible within 1-10 minutes of a walk. I didn’t like the bathroom; you basically could shower while you sit on the toilet. However, it is common in the area. Great food nearby, and great service all around! I enjoyed my stay and the rooms were large and comfortable. Great AC and Wifi too!
