Mar Monte Hotel, in The Unbound Collection by Hyatt

Nice Spanish-style hotel close to the beach. Spacious rooms, unfortunately, with old carpets. There was an odour in the room, perhaps from the carpets. No balcony in our room. Comfortable beds and pillows, but lots of noise (family with kids, cars, etc.). The bathroom was clean, but very little space to hang towels. Small bathtub. No written instructions to understand how to use the two showers and the bathtub.

Beautiful location, nice facilities, although the rooms are a bit on the older side. Staff service is welcoming. Thank you to Gavin, the front office manager, for the superb service and the overall effort to make my family's stay as comfortable as possible. My go to stay when visiting Santa Barbara.

For a four star hotel, I was very surprised by the lack of care. There were several things that went wrong here and none of them were addressed promptly, if addressed at all. Sad to say it is highly unlikely we would return after this treatment.

I recently stayed at Mar Monte Hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, which made it easy to relax after a long day. The staff were especially friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with any questions or requests. One of the best parts of this hotel is its location. It’s conveniently close to the beach and just minutes from downtown Santa Barbara, making it easy to explore the area and enjoy everything nearby. There were a couple of downsides, though. Parking was a bit of a hassle and could be inconvenient at times. Additionally, the room had a slightly damp smell, which took away a bit from the overall comfort. Despite these minor issues, the hotel offers a great stay thanks to its cleanliness, space, friendly staff, and excellent location.

Greatş service and cool balconies right by the beach. Clean large beds and a great bathroom. I was alone but I imagine it would be nice with someone else. Great service and bathrobes I didn't use. Maybe some day.

adorable resort with a clean and quiet pool and spa - the free bike rentals were a fun perk especially as the property is a little ways from the main strip of shopping and cafes. would definitely stay again.

My stay at the Mar Monte Hotel in Santa Barbara was delightful. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the front desk, including smooth check-in and great local recommendations. Mornings at Costa restaurant featured a wonderful breakfast with fresh, flavorful options and super friendly service. The hotel’s proximity to the ocean is unbeatable, and I loved having free bikes to ride down to the beach. Relaxing by the pool and enjoying the hot tub was a nice way to relax after exploring SB during the day. Also really enjoy the architecture of the hotel. I highly recommend.

Very comfortable room and the bed was wonderful. Great atmosphere to spend time walking and riding with my wife. Wish we could stay longer.

i had to ask the front desk to have somebody clean our room two days in a row. it had not been cleaned by 2 p.m on both days
