Hotel B Unique

By lucky chance we ended up at this hotel as a last minute NYE booking. It was precious - the perfect place to relax - beautiful infinity pool and another family pool. There were lots of hammocks, comfortable lounges and even a warm jacuzzi - a rare find in the area. Staff was friendly and helpful. It has an old school feel of a hotel from before the days of so many rules - We liked that they used glass glasses everywhere rather than - ugh - disposable plastic cups. The hotel was a complex of two joined at some time in the past, connected with bridges and concrete ramps that were just a bit steep. The staircase from the lobby to pool had no hand rails - the paths to the ocean needed attention to navigate - components that subtly kept people on better behavior. Rooms had ceramic water dispensers and a mini fridge - unfortunately no ice machine though the bartender would fill you up if you needed. Included breakfast buffet was good with pancakes, oatmeal, eggs, black beans plus a few other hot dishes. Our other meals at the restaurant were good although service could be a bit slow. At one meal we got tired of waiting for our drink order to be taken and brought a bottle of wine from the room, expecting a corkage fee but not expecting it to be $27! A positive surprise was the NYE party - we arrived with no plans and the hotel offered a pre-fix meal with entertainment consisting of a wonderful sax player (who also played several other days by the pool), Mayan dancers banging tribal drums, burning lots of sage and giving us blessings. This was followed by a beach dance party (that went until the wee hours). Talking to other travelers that frequent Cozumel, the B was a favorite after sampling the other area hotels and the pool also attracted cruise ship entertainers on their days off. We would definitely return.

We stay at B Unique once or twice every year and we feel always very happy and welcome from the first moment. The rooms for me are the perfect hotelrooms: all I need not less not more in a very soothing, minimalistic and stylish manner. The layout is focused on what counts the most, the spectacular seaview. The beds are unbelievably comfortable, maybe the best beds ever. We leave the sliding doors open around the clock, turn the AC off and the ceiling fan on, perfect. The compounds are as well interesting and nice with lots of different corners to leisure or hide, 2 restaurants, 2 great pools, hottub, artificial beach, sunbeds, shade, cliffs to jump into the cristal clear sea. The staff is extraordinary, they make me feel more like a friend than just a guest.

the terrasse furniture in room 318 was not so comfortable. The breakfast was not what it used to be. I was missing salsa verde, salsa roja, ham, bacon, sausages,...

Bellissima struttura con affaccio sul mare che permette di godere di un po’ di relax e calma distante solo 5 min di macchina dal centro di Cozumel. Bellissima la camera con affaccio sul mare. Ottimo servizio in piscina.

Lentezza nella procedura di check in e check out. Avrei preferito la colazione totalmente a buffet invece di dover ordinare ai camerieri.

kids in an advertised kids free hotel. far too many dogs. no ocean platform despite the fact that it’s still advertised in the hotel’s pictures. pool needs a heater. need to have a better system for reserving poolside day beds. smart tvs that you can access your netflix account with would also be nice

El balcón y la vista. El personal es amable pero está muy mal capacitado.

Cuando hice la reservación decía que iba a ser un total de $MNX$55,348 y después de que di click apareció una cantidad de $MXN 74,147 En el check in nos dieron 1 habitació en el B Unique y 1 habitación en el Hotel B Cozumel y no quisieron reembolsar la diferencia de precio. POR FAVOR solicito el reembolso! En el desayuno casi no había huéspedes y estaban las cacerolas con los alimentos de mala calidad sin letrero y teníamos que pedir a los meseros los cubiertos, servilletas, café, leche, fruta, jugo, miel para hot cakes, azúcar, stevia, agua, etc. Me dijeron que tomarían en cuenta mis quejas cuando llenara la encuesta al final de mi estancia, jajaja. Ningún día tenían la mitad del menú en los 2 restaurantes del hotel. Reporté que la llave del lavabo necesitaba reparación y, aunque enviaron un técnico, nunca fue reparada. El check out duró 1 hora porque no habían enviado a recepción la información de consumo de los restaurantes. Solicité en recepción una camioneta para ir al aeropuerto la noche anterior a la salida, lo confirmaron pero NO lo reservaron y tuvimos que salir a la calle a buscar taxis.

Our time at Hotel B has been relaxing and enjoyable. The location is beautiful. The front desk staff always bent over backwards to answer our questions and accommodate our needs; we relied on Marcela quite often and she was always so nice and helpful. Our room attendant, Lorelay, did a good job keeping our room clean and fresh each day.

ממליץ מאודדד על מלון b unique, אנחנו לקחנו חדר עם נוף לאוקיינוס, חדרים נוחים, נעימים עם נוף מטורףףף! חשוב לי לציין עובד בקבלה, קוראים לו דוד, היחס הכי טוב שראיתי מעובדים של מלונות בן אדם עם נשמה טובה, עזר לנו פה עם כל מה שהיינו צריכים, המלצות השכרת אופנוע הכל! הארוחת בוקר שכלולה פה לא כלכך טובה אז אל תצפו ליותר מידי, בשביל שיהיה טעים צריך להזמין באקסטרה תשלום וגם כשרשום בתפריט של הארוחת בוקר שכלול ״ביצים לפי בחירתך״ אמרו לי שזה הבופה וממש זה לא היה לפי בחירתי אבל בסדר.. תודה לדוד על השירות והיחס החם English: I highly recommend the B Unique Hotel. We took a room with an ocean view. Comfortable and pleasant rooms with an absolutely crazy view. It’s important for me to mention the receptionist named David. The best service I’ve ever experienced from hotel staff. A person with a kind soul who helped us with everything we needed here, including recommendations and motorcycle rental, everything. The breakfast that’s included isn’t very good, so don’t expect too much. If you want it to be tasty, you need to order extra items for an additional charge. Also, even though the breakfast menu says “eggs of your choice” are included, they told me it was from the buffet, and it really wasn’t my choice, but that’s okay. Habitaciones cómodas y agradables con una vista absolutamente increíble. Es importante para mí mencionar a un empleado de la recepción llamado David. El mejor trato que he visto por parte del personal de un hotel. Una persona con un alma buena que nos ayudó con todo lo que necesitábamos, recomendaciones, alquiler de motocicleta, todo. El desayuno que está incluido no es muy bueno, así que no esperen demasiado. Para que sea rico, hay que pedir extras con un costo adicional. Además, aunque en el menú del desayuno dice “huevos a tu elección”, me dijeron que era del buffet y en realidad no fue a mi elección, pero está bien. Gracias a David por el servicio y la atención tan cálida.
