The house on the beach

The staff was very friendly and kind and helpful. The setting and location from the place is wonderful, we had a quiet house right on the beach in a few meters from the sea. Very close to beautiful seagrass and reef for snorkeling and you can use freely the kayaks from the hotel to go into the water. Unfortunately the sea was a little bit too rough during our stay for good snorkeling. In the restaurant we tried the Maya Luna Pineapple, the speciality dish from the house, wich was very tastfull. The dog of the house is very sweet and follows you anywhere without bothering you. The place is a few km's from the center of Mahahual what was fine by us.

The smell of the seewead but that's beyond the staff because the last years that seems to be the case on the entire eastcoast from Florida to the Carribean. However the staff is doing their best to clean the beach, it is good to know that you are prepared for this when you're planning to come this way. Maybe a little bit more attention for clean sheets, we didn't complain for this because it was acceptable but we had a few stains on the sheets in the bed and also there was still a little bit of dirt in the trash bin in the bathroom. Maybe a little renewal from the inside of the room is advisable

Global warming means the sea grass comes earlier and is more profuse, it ruins the water and beach :-( nothing the hotel can do about it.

Absolutely everything; the staff were so helpful and went the extra mile every time to ensure we had the best of stays. Yair in particular was amazing, and so kind to us. Thankyou!

Everything was lovely

Great property, very private and you have your own beach to enjoy. Very quite and relaxed. Staff is great and the restaurant good food) keeps you from having to go into town and search for something.
