The staff is really sweet, welcoming and helpful. The room (the big one) was lovely, very large (all the first floor) and comfy, with beautiful windows on the gorgeous garden. We slept very well (double futon). The breakfast (japanese style) is amazing

Nothing! Only one detail: it would have been even better to have the breakfast in our room

We loved our stay here! The location is very handy, the room is very comfortable and the bathroom downstairs was lovely. Above all, the man running the guesthouse made our stay exceptional with his thoughtful and attentive service - he surprised us with sparkling sake for my boyfriend’s birthday.

This ryokan is the definition of perfection. The owner is really friendly and always willing to help with everything. The location is also great, with a quiet neighbourhood and many old streets and sights, yet not far from the center of Kyoto.

"Beautiful space and location."

This is a beautiful ryokan. It is tucked away in a quiet area that is also near to lots of restaurants and attractions. It is the best of both worlds. The breakfast was excellent! The owners were very attentive and sweet. The ryokan is small - I think we were the only guests there during our stay. Also, keep in mind there really isn't an onsen here so if you are looking for that maybe this isn't the place for you. The room is large and clean. I would highly recommend!
