Ty Mynydd Lodge

Lisa the host was really welcoming and friendly. We felt immediately at home. The room was spacious and very comfortable with lots of little extras. The breakfast options were just what we wanted and Lisa was very attentive. Great location for exploring and also only 10 minutes walk to the railway station for a quick journey into Cardiff.

Lisa couldn't have been a better host, she couldn't do enough for us. The accommodation had everything we needed and the location was ideal. There was a fully stocked fridge with a superb selection of breakfast items that lasted the whole week along with bread, cereals etc. We had an amazing stay and will definitely be back as it was excellent value for money and we, along with our little pup Bella, were made to feel so welcome!

Lisa was very helpful and friendly and the room was very cosy with a lovely big bed and lots of comfy pillows. A Nice touch for me was the robes and the Welsh Cakes and biscuits. Everything I needed was there and I slept well. Lisa helped with nearby restaurants and was great with vegan options for my breakfast.

We chose this lodge for its great reviews and quiet location close to Cardiff, with parking as well. Lisa is a fantastic host — warm, welcoming, and instantly makes you feel at home. The room was comfortable, and well equipped, with a comfy bed, internet TV, and a lovely en-suite. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful.

The lodge was in a lovely location, it was very close to metro and a bus stop. Really easy to get to after you come off the motorway and its right next to castle coch. Lisa is such a welcoming host, the kitchen was fully stocked when we arrived with breakfast items and tea and coffee. Lisa was also next door which was really convenient if we needed anything.

Lisa was the best host you could wish for. She a font of local knowledge and added enormous value to our stay. Her legendary breakfasts lived up to their reputation. Communal spaces were friendly and clean. It looked like it's photos and she filled us in on its history. We had friends staying and living locally and had no hesitation in recommending her to them if they needed extra space. Loved the greeting on the bedroom door and the her perfect greeting when we arrived. She made us feel very special. What she didn't know about the rugby wasn't worth knowing. Blackout blinds are a good idea. Bedroom felt cosy but was plenty big enough.

Needed a bit of TLC in the ensuite which was a bit tired. The hand basin was exactly that. A hand basin but I guess not much room for anything else. If I went again I might take my own pillows.
