After a few teething problems - airport shuttle did not arrive as promised and breakfast egg and toast were cold on first morning - a very enjoyable stay.

The refreshment on arrival and the fruit basket. Also, the impression I had with my over the phone conversation with customer service changed with the interactions with entire team.

The customer service is ok though the front desk officer couldn’t find my booking and hang up the call without informing me that it will take time for him to find the booking. This was my first disappointment.The amenities aren’t well maintained such as toilet, shower taps and toilet door (tissues used to fill gaps!). The most disappointing thing is the strain in the bedsheets and pillowcases. Cleanliness is very important to have a good first impression which was unfortunately absent. The photograph supplied was not aligned with the reality.

Room is OK but tea maker was dirty (not cleaned). Most of the outlet is over sized and some of them did not work. They should better bleach the towels. Room size is OK there are lot of things they can improve to get better rating.

Spacious room

Stuffs were skeptical. I talked to 3 stuffs separately two on reception desk, one on phone call, and they told 3 different prices for the same room. I talked to the number given on Google and he said dollar rate would be counted 86. But at the reception that stuff said he’s a booking.com stuff he’s doesn’t know anything about the dollar conversation rate and that stuff charged me nearly 95 taka per $. Later I talked to another stuff and he said he’s the manager of the hotel not a booking.com stuff. Such a liar. And they reveal their actual price of their room. One stuff at reception said they are offering 40% discount, another said 30% and that manager on call said 30% discount too. Disastrous management system. Moreover the bedsheets were not clean at all. Upon asking about it the stuff said it’s normal to have marks on bed sheet. On a positive note the location is nice. Room was pretty clean. For a three seated room they provided only 1 ton ac. Overall not satisfied with the experience I had with the hotel, specially the sceptical stuffs.

It was good

Excellent central location. Staff are lovely and always there to help. Rooms were large and clean. Breakfast was lovely, vegetable with roti, fruit, juice, tea or a choice of continental breakfast. We stayed as a family in a two bedroom apartment. Safe and secure. We left all our cash and belongings at the apartment when we went out without any problems. We also had our luggage kept in a luggage room after checkout as we visited the city. We came back to collect the luggage, we were offered tea on the house. The staff go out of their way and I will definitely stay here again in future. Definitely recommend. Only negative comment is that there were ants in the room but that was resolved straight away by the staff by spraying aerosol. It is Bangladesh and you will find ants wherever you go so don’t be put off.
