Marriott Long Beach Downtown

Amazing service

Paid over $1,000 for two nights and got 3-star service at best. Staff wasn’t friendly or attentive, towels and pillowcases smelled bad (even “fresh” ones), valet was nowhere to be found, and elevator security didn’t work. Worst part—was told late checkout to 12:30pm was complimentary, but got charged $30 anyway, plus extra fees on top of my $870 booking total. Not about the money—it’s the shady practice. I’ll stay across the street at the Fairmont next time. Worth every extra dollar compared to this experience.

We enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The only downfall was the traffic outside. There was someone on a mortorcycle driving around with loud pipes and loud music. We did not get to sleep until after midnight.

Great location right in the middle of everything-highly recommend and will be coming back

The check in and check out staff was a lovely woman whose name started with an N (I’m bad with names) and she was awesome! She deserves a raise, she was friendly and helpful!

The breakfast option was a lil pricey for so many kids especially after paying a decent amount for the rooms. There wasn’t anything in the room that let us know about breakfast or what the options were.

I really like this Marriott and was surprised at the lower rating. Lobby area is lovely. I used the pool to swim laps and it was great. Rooms are very nice too. We enjoyed breakfast and snacks in the Marriott club room. I would recommend. Great location too.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the gentleman at the front desk who helped us with check-in during our recent stay. Traveling with my sister and our elderly godparents, we truly appreciated how he took the time to carefully check room availability and kindly arranged for us to have rooms right next to each other. His kindness wasn’t the kind that feels scripted or routine—it was quiet, sincere, and deeply thoughtful. That level of care made us feel genuinely welcomed and set a wonderful tone for our stay. The hotel itself was also fantastic—the location was convenient, and our room was spacious, elegant, and comfortable, not to mention the gorgeous view. It made our time there even more enjoyable and relaxing.

Loved our balcony suite. Walking distance to several activities and dining.

We will definitely will stay here again. I do want to point out their stellar customer service. We were checked in by John L. He was over the top accommodating to our needs. Good job Marriott!
