Hotel Puerta del Sol - San Jose Airport

I was able to book a room just before midnight of the same night (in the app it says 24 hours front desk). When I arrived, the doors were closed. I was able to call and they were able to open the doors after I woke them up and accommodated me but it's quite a surprise if it says 24 hours front desk and then it actually isn't...

the room was was quite big and the bed. was comfortable .

It was quite noisy, cars from close highways are heard as well..The breakfast was very poor, there was no salt( sugar only), no condiments to add to omelette, tasteless. either juice or coffee, really bad. would not recommend for longer stay.

Close to the airport.

Property is very run down to the point of being unsafe. Sheets were stained, the bathroom was a wild mix of crooked angles and slants with a big patch of black mold on the ceiling. There was a random door into the bathroom that locked from the outside (so whoever had that key could come in at night). There are only 3 parking spots.

It took a 1/2 hour for someone to come to office door

Very helpful staff, comfortable room. Breakfast satisfactory.

Very complicated to find the entrance. Off street parking limited. Overall, a little dated and in worn looking.

The owner's attention to needs

Stayed one night on Nov, 2024. Shower no hot water, only cold water. I booked from Expedia and paid by my Credit card. When I checked in, the Lady(owner) asked me to pay extra 25 USD Cash. I paid 25 USD Cash to her. Terrible experience. Do not believe the price on Expedia website.
