The Swiss Cottage, Shanklin

Overall ticks all the boxes . In some need of updating , decor , furniture . Mattress too soft for me , a topper or new one would be ideal. Parking was fine. An altercation with the owner and a guest at 1.30 am on my second night didn’t help my sleep . Whilst my room was next door to the entrance , and in all probability not the fault of the owner , regardless , there are other guests in the accommodation to consider. Overall decent for the price .

Convenient location for train and bus.

The bed not so good could hear and feel one of the springs. Also a bit to low from the ground just my personal opinion.

Clean warm, close to shops and bars. Only few minutes from Bus and Train. Very quiet area.

Breakfast would have been nice. But as we were at End of season, we can understand plenty of places near by for breakfast. If we wanted one anyway.

It had everything I needed

Really lovely Keith and Christine couldn’t be more helpful, would definitely go back

As a single traveller welcomed a twin room as one was available on arrival
