Upon entering the lodge the smell of dead mouse, noticed by more than one person, was overwhelming. The smell had worsened by the next morning and was in multiple areas of the building. At night, bright orange flood lights on the deck illuminated the entire sleeping area despite pulling curtains closed. Correspondence and check-in are handled via text— which is automated during certain hours. Upon check-in other guests could not access the property and I tried to help- return texts were not in response to the concerns broached for other guests but seemed AI prompted so I clarified several times. When we asked at 8pm if porch lights could be turned off there was never any response. When we got no sleep and found the dead mouse smell to be ruining the experience we wrote with the information and that we needed to check out. We asked for a refund for the remaining night via message to the property and text. There was no response for hours. By that point we had given up and left. After another text Innkeeper texted “unfortunately? No one else noticed any smell” and that we could be moved to a different room but that was the only offer. We declined. Spent time on phone with booking.com customer service to address what happened ($500 bill plus we had had dinner in restaurant, so over $700 total for two days) and that we had had to check out. Booking.com notified us the property did not respond. Since leaving we have received multiple texts thanking us and asking to rate the stay. Given the expense, the refusal to acknowledge any problem, respond to booking.com and/or offer any refund left a very poor impression.

This was by far the best accommodation on our road trip of New England - the facilities are exceptional and there is nothing we did not rave about. The lodge is beautiful, pristine and has been fitted out to an amazing quality. We loved every minute of this stay. We could live here!

Had a wonderful weekend at Seesaw's!It exceeded my expectations for sure.The lodge had everything you would need for a weekend stay!!Josh was very helpful & responded within minutes.Overall a very pleasant stay & will definitely be spreading the word on this place!Hoping to come back in the fall!
