Warkworth House Hotel

The hotel was lovely, situated in the centre of Warkworth. Very close to the river for some lovely walks ot to sit and have a picnic. 10 minutes at the most walk to the castle,. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The breakfast was very good with a variety of choice. The restaurant, we couldnt fault it the food was delicious.Our room was spaceous, newly decorated. Theres a small car park to the rear of the hotel, but theres free parking all around so no issues there.

The meals were excellent- the portions were much larger than expected with exceptional quality. The steak pie was the best I have ever eaten ! The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. The room, although a little small for the size of the bed, was clean, well furnished and comfortable. There were 2 leather armchairs- most unusual to get more than one easy chair in a hotel room. The bed was large and comfortable.

There was some traffic noise early in the morning because the room overlooked the main road. The car park was small and it was a bit tricky to park, but there is a free car park just along the road.

Booked through Saddle Skedaddle as part of the Coast & Castles bike tour we were fortunate to stay at Warkworth House Hotel. A warm welcome by reception and good advice on visiting the castle via the very pleasant river walk. Our room was excellent as was the cuisine at dinner and breakfast; just superb. Duty Manager Sharon was especially helpful with bike accommodation and general advice, all much appreciated. Highly recommended.

The staff are exceptional and couldn't do enough for us, accommodating our large group and our bicycles. The food is excellent, we all had a great stay.

Great location, lovely staff and good food.

Bar closed just after 9pm. Room was too hot and we couldn’t turn the radiator off so had to open the window which made it very noisy once the traffic started in the morning.

Friendly and welcoming

We have had the best few days at this lovely hotel. Rooms were very nice. We ate in the hotel for breakfast and Evening Dinner both were excellent. One of the best choices on a breakfast menu we have seen. The staff are super friendly they made us feel so at home and comfortable. Trevor was an added bonus on Friday. Thanks all, we had the best time.
