DoubleTree by Hilton Charlottesville

I didn't like having to park in overflow parking. But there was apparently a Christmas event going on that crowded me out.

Beautiful and clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Traveling alone with two small children, I felt very safe and comfortable staying here.

Problem with finding a roach in the room!!!

The staff were friendly and helpful. Warm chocolate chip cookie on arrival. Housekeeping staff came and checked everyday of my stay to see if we needed anything and did a good job cleaning the bathrooms and rooms (We booked 2 rooms). Standard breakfast.

The bathrooms are small, rooms are a little outdated. Otherwise, everything was fine. Overall pretty good value for the money.

Breakfast buffet was as expected.

Staff was not very helpful, talked me out of my accessable room and into a regular room where you could not use the toliet with the door open. a tall person would have trouble using the toliet with the door closed. locked out of room two days in a row, when engineer watched me try to get into the room he laughed at me and said I was not doing it right. room had no hot water, after engineer came to fix, it was only barely lukewarm.
