DoubleTree by Hilton New Bern - Riverfront

A group of couple friends have returned to this hotel 3 trips in the holiday season due to helpful staff (especially from Sejal) the music events and comfortable environment (with views from Sunrise to Sunset) for visiting friends.

Sejal made every breakfast during my stay a genuinely pleasant experience. She was always warm, attentive, and welcoming, and her positive energy really set a great tone for the day. The service was consistently excellent, and she made guests feel truly cared for. In addition, the hotel’s beautiful views and excellent location made the stay even more enjoyable. Being close to everything while still offering a peaceful and scenic atmosphere was a real highlight. Thank you, Sejal, for your kindness and outstanding service — it was truly appreciated.

The only 5.0 review I can give this hotel is the location and the view. It’s close to everything, but that’s where the good reviews end. There was a large roach in the hall right in front of the elevator. There is nothing in the room to put your suitcases on although there is empty space where a bench of some sort could be put for them. There is only 1 chair. I’ve never stayed in any hotel or motel that didn’t at least provide you with a small pad and pen.. nothing to write with. There is nothing in the room with the hotel’s address on it in case of an emergency. The bathroom is very small and dated. No towel racks on the wall and if someone fell on the floor no one would be able to get in because the door opens in and the space is so small. The bathtub with shower is very slick. The hot water never got hot. The cold water handle is loose and spins around. Housekeeping emptied the small trash can in the room but has left all the other trash next to it for 3 days. We always stay at Hilton hotels/motels and never expected this stay to be disappointing, especially at a Doubletree by Hilton. This hotel does not live up to the quality one would expect from Hilton.

The staff at this hotel is top notch. They are very respectful and eager to assist. It is an older hotel but I found that everything functions properly and the view is outstanding.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Hotel and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment I arrived, the staff greeted me warmly and made check-in quick and effortless. The lobby was elegant, clean, and welcoming—exactly what you expect from a high-end hotel.

Double Tree by Hilton is wonderful! We got every Sunday to the breakfast buffet. It is always fantastic and the staff is wonderful!!! I’d give it more stars if I could. Shout out to Sejal and Shelly in the restaurant!!! They’re great!

Excellent breakfasts with Sejal and Shelly always making me feel welcome and at home I believe this is the best breakfast in town.
