Sheraton Kauai Resort Villas

- Great access to a more or less private beach - Clean

What isn’t clear about this hotel is that these are partly owned apartments. And the Sheraton hotel is actually over the road. So your booking depends on which apartments are available to rent out. The 1st one we were given had a very pungent funky smell. This was disappointing because we were on honeymoon. The 2nd apartment we were given, after complaining, was very close to a noisy generator which disturbed the peace and tranquility of the place. Sadly there were no other apartments available for us to move a 3rd time (and apparently we couldn’t have a room at the Sheraton hotel over the road because they are separate businesses) so we had to stay in a not so idyllic room. I wouldn’t stay here again for the price and I think the 9 rating is a bit shocking. I stay at a lot of 9 rated hotels and this feels a bit generous.

Beautiful resort with access to beach. Comfortable rooms that can accommodate 6 adults.

The layout and amenities inside the room were really well thought out. The bed was very comfortable. Pillows could have been better.

The food at the Lava's poolside restaurant was underwhelming. Specifically the poke nachos, sounded good, but execution was really off.

Beach front location with sandy beach. Small retail park with restaurants within walking distance. The staff we spoke with gave good advice. Don’t miss the turtles on Poipu beach.

Long drawn out wait to book in even though I had done the advance online check in. Said room would be ready by 4pm had to wait until 4.45! On doing the (complete waist of time)“turn down service” the room door was left open.

The Villas were wonderful. I had a studio with full kitchen and laundry. Great balcony and view. Full access to the Hotel. Both places have their own pools and a beach at the hotel. Very clean and comfortable. The villas are great for families. Looked at many places to stay.

Cleaning services were a little difficult to work around. There was no consistency when they arrived.
