atención de las recepcionistas, mala tendió no fueron capaces de llamarme un taxi al aeropuerto. Me tocó salir con mi equipaje a esperarlo en la calle. Viajo mucho. Peor es el primero hotel con tan mal atención q me tocó

Location is a bit far but it is ok

For a recent business trip, I stayed at Ibis Quito, and it ended up being exactly what I needed. The location is a big plus. It sits right near La Carolina Park, which is kind of the central business area of Quito. If you have meetings in that part of the city, it’s very convenient. I was able to walk to the office I was visiting in about 10 minutes, which made the whole trip easy. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and very functional. It’s not a luxury property, but it’s not trying to be. It’s a solid, no-frills business hotel that delivers on the basics. The rooms are on the smaller side, but well laid out and very well maintained. Everything felt new and well-kept. One thing I really appreciated was the ability to control the temperature in the room. That’s not always a given in Quito, especially in older hotels, so having a thermostat made the stay much more comfortable. A pleasant surprise was the restaurant. I ended up eating dinner there both nights, which I don’t usually do at hotel restaurants. The food was genuinely good. I tried the ceviche both nights, and it was excellent, and the steaks were very well done. The picanha in particular stood out, and I would recommend it over the New York strip. Service was attentive and consistent, and it made for an easy, relaxed end to the day without needing to go back out. The staff overall were friendly and helpful, and the hotel had a comfortable, easygoing feel to it. If you’re traveling to Quito for business and need to be near the financial district or La Carolina Park, this is a great option. If you’re visiting purely as a tourist, you might look at staying closer to Old Town for a different experience, but for business travel this hotel works really well. Overall, a very solid, reliable stay.
