Yantai Marriott Hotel

I came to this hotel with my friends, who has been longing for ocean view and seafood for ages. It SURE not let us down. 1. Room As a platinum member of Marriott, I had been upgraded into a Full Ocean View Suit, only by paying 100 bucks (which is lowest room rate) per day. The view was fantastic and you can hear the ocean talking when you sleep. Room is nice and clean with a modern decoration. I asked the hotel staff and got told that this hotel was built one year before. So lucky. 2. Dining Dining in China has always been a pleasant experience. We only have breakfast in hotel. Unlike North American five stars hotels, Chinese ones do have a lot of choices. You can always demand your own dishes, like eggs or noodles. I didnt have lunch nor dinner at hotel, cuz i got other suggestions, but I believe it wont let you down to dine in the hotel. 3. Environment I would have to say that the view is brilliant. With only around 50 feet to the beach, you can always take a walk on the sand whenever you like. Be ware, the wind at night will blow you away easily. The Spa, pool and other facilities, as you can see, are all in a five star standard and nothing to be complained. In one word, I strongly recommend this hotel and would definitely come back again. Btw, the person who served me when i check in was a tall, young, gorgeous lady called Erin Li. You would be lucky to have her assist you. Great work. :)

I think this hotel is one of the best in Yantai city. Thanks No.1 연태에 최근에 생긴 호텔로 전망,시설,룸컨디션 직원 서비스 특히 Miss Mia Kang 최고였으며 호텔공간의 활용을 미닫이 방식으로 변경한 부분은 상당히 인상 적이였음. TV도 동일 가격대 호텔 대비 상당히 컷으며.본보이 메리어트에 기대 이상의 호텔이 연태에 생김 모든부분에 상당히 만족함

공항과는 가깝다 시내와 떨어져있어 편의시설이 근처에 없음 라운지내 준비된 먹거리가 최하점이다 조식은 그럭저럭

With Marriott, Hilton and Sheraton lying along the beach with a short distance between them, the three represent the best choices for hotel in the west part of Yantai. I have not stayed at Sheraton yet (the oldest of them), but will post a review of that in the future. Based on one stay at Hilton and around 5 at Marriott, I can safely say that Marriott if my favorite choice of the two. Being the newest, it is also the best maintained. Decoration in light marble, and wood floors instead of carpet keeps it feeling clean. Preset lighting settings, electric curtains and the possibility to use your phone as room key add to that, and (though i rarely use it), having a balcony towards the ocean is nice. The gym is smaller than Hilton's but the equipment is new and the Life Fitness machines can connect to your phone if you download the app. The gym appears new and clean, and staff wipes the equipment down after you have used it and replace the complimentary water bottle and towel on each machine. The selection in the buffet restaurant is ok for a Yantai hotel but small compared to bigger city hotels. Breakfast usually has freshly squeezed juice. They also have coffee to-go, so you can bring a cup of coffee with you in the morning, and if you leave before breakfast starts at 6.30 they pack you a breakfast to go. The Korean restaurant is good. The lobby lounge has different food than the a la carte menu in the main restaurant, but they should consider separating it more from the check-in area, so it feels like sitting at a lounge overlooking the sea instead of sitting at a hotel entrance. I haven't tried the indoor swimming pool, but it looks good. The staff sometimes struggles a bit with English, which is often seen in smaller cities in China, but they are generally very attentive and helpful. All in all, Marriott is my favorite choice in Yantai. It is on par with other Marriott's I have stayed at, winning due to the new and fresh feeling of the hotel but with space to improve on the F&B side if wanting to be compared to Marriott's in bigger cities.

From when I arrived at the hotel i was hassled first at the regular reception check in took a half an hour when I arrived at the room it seemed not only was not upgraded i was actually downgraded I went to the reception at the executive lounge to try to sort it out the person at the dest I think mr wang was his name had no intention of sorting it out didn’t even try. The food at the executive lounge is a joke the only vegetable was some green leaves nothing else the rooms are small and claustrophobic and smell from smoke. This hotel is highly NOT recommended. The previous stay i had in this city i stayed at the Hilton and it was really fabulous this time I thought i will try the Marriott BIG mistake. Also at the Marriott most of the staff dint speak any English.

I stayed in this hotel for several times for business. The hotel is located in YEDA and near my destination. As a platinum member of Bonvoy, i had good experience in this hotel. I got a sea view suite room and high quality service during my stays. I really appreciate Seven in the launge who provides me professional, warm service and assistance. By the way, The hotel is near a public beach which should be convienet for family to enjoy their vacation.

신규 호텔이라서 수영장, 룸 인테리어 등이 무척 마음에 들었습니다. 서비스는 부족함이 없으나 비지니스 라운지는 음식의 종류가 다른 곳(상하이, 베이징)에 비하여 많이 부족함. 그리고 조식은 평이한 수준으로 다른곳과 비슷함.

This time I came to yantai for a business trip and tried the marriott hotel. The overall feeling was good, but it was far away from the city and there was nothing to play by the sea. The rooms are all right.

I used to live in marriott by myself. This time, I brought my family to live with me for the first time, and I generally felt ok. The service in the executive lounge was also very warm, but the surrounding area was too desolate.
