"Great location and hotel for first time to Lake District"

Breakfast was exceptional and met some charming people over breakfast A great way to start a day of hiking. Restaurant offerings in town are limited (very small town), so should make sure to make dinner reservations. Hotel gave us printouts of recommended hiking trails and breakfast staff was lovely and most helpful. Loved the town of Grasmere. Would definitely stay here again.

Third floor walk up along narrow stairwell can be taxing when taking up or down luggage.

It was warm and welcoming when you walked through the door and we had the best sleep ever. The staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful.
