Run by a very attentive couple who personally built the B&B

Comfortable, modern and clean. Great shower. Hosts were helpful and welcoming. Their cat is a real cutie and also gave a warm welcome.

The only thing that stoped me scoring a 10/10 was that I would have liked one more tea bag. I do love my tea but there were only two. That said, if you are less fussy than me there was an abundance of other varieties such as fruit teas.

Very friendly reception and hosts - wonderful fresh breakfast, lovely bedroom and comfortable bed.

Perhaps provide flip flops as shoes on not welcome. They could be washed in the washing machine?

Couldn't be happier

Another lovely stay at the Laurels following my first booking some time ago. Excellent breakfast and very friendly, welcoming hosts. Quiet location just outside Felsted. Thoroughly recommended and would definitely stay again.

Nothing to criticise. Everything of excellent quality with no areas where you might want to quibble. The owners clearly maintain top quality standards on an ongoing basis. Village location was also ideal for me.

The breakfast was not comparable to a home cooked breakfast, This is because it was a home cooked breakfast. served with love and care or each guest. It felt like visiting home. The location was fantastic the garden led me down to a field with breathtaking British countryside views. with a bonus hand made stream leading to a pond.

The room information was intense, it felt like i was back in army cadets. if we were staying for a month or two the information would have been justified. but i could tell the host was simply proud of his achievements, Rightly so.

Rooms were clean and organised.

For what I had paid these people, I am disgusted by the treatment i had received from the hosts. His wife... Abhorrently xenophobic and although the host was trying to cover up his prejudicial behaviours in his home around us.. it was evidently clear. Intimidating behaviour towards myself and my other guest throughout the evening.Made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwanted at the property. Treating me like a child...moving my personal belongings i.e phone, off his kitchen table without my consent, invasion of privacy and policing/hovering around me while I ate at his table. Felt uncomfortable for just merely eating something for the evening that was "not breakfast! " Obviously a double standard because they do allow guests to eat something other than what their bed and breakfast provides at their home, they just didn't like us, so it was such a huge deal! Bad for business. Would not recommend!
