Sheraton Grand Salzburg

We booked a combination of room, dinner, concert, and breakfast. The room was okay. Concert was awesome. Breakfast was good.

I didn’t like a single thing about the dinner except the appetizer, and so I would never eat dinner there again or recommend it to anyone. It’s kind of a bizarre story of how they seated us, moved us and another person instead of just setting additional places for other people, literally poured out wine including to our 15 year-old (without asking parents) and then took our wine away, then served us dried up chicken. But this was not worse than moving the single lady who was traveling alone and part of the concert group far away from everyone else, breaking all our hearts to have to watch and making her feel more alone than if she had never come. If I managed this hotel, I would’ve fired that waiter in two seconds because he’s a jerk to the core.

We family of five had a very pleasant stay at Shelton in Salzburg. The hotel is well-maintained, and offers a comfortable atmosphere. The rooms are clean, well-equipped, and quiet, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring the city. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location is also convenient, walkable to the city centre. Overall, a very positive experience and good value for money.

The only downside for us was the lack of a swimming pool and jacuzzi, which would have made the stay even better, especially when with kids.

Solid hotel with nice lobby and very friendly staff and great location. Didn’t appreciate the worn carpets on the guest room floor and the staff knocking on our door at 9:30 asking to clean our room and then again at 9:40 am to check if we purchased anything from the mini-bar, especially after we asked for a late checkout at noon. Very bothersome and a practice that should be eliminated completely. Wouldn’t highly recommend recommend this hotel, but a solid option nonetheless

Lage zentral und ruhig beim Park Mirabell, einfach herrlich. Frühstück draussen bei der Gartenterrasse beim Park, war ein Traum mit Vogelgezwitscher. Abendessen im Hotelrestaurant war ein Genuss. Hotel chic, grosszügig und äusserst gemütlich. Betten sehr komfortabel und gross. Personal wunderbar, sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit!

Beim Dampfbad blättert der Verputz ab, wohl wegen hoher Feuchtigkeit

If you are looking for an amazing hotel experience in Salzburg, look no further. My family and I stayed at the Sheraton Grand Salzburg in May 2026. Having traveled extensively in North America, Europe and Asia, The Sheraton Grand Salzburg is now in our top five for all time hotel stays. We were blown away by the entire hotel staff. From the moment we checked-in to the moment we left, I feel like every staff member went out of their way to ensure our stay was elite. The hotel location for tours, walking to the main city attractions and to the train station could not be in a more central location. In fact, if you are looking for a hotel hub while attending the Sound of Music tour, this is the one. Having arrived late in the afternoon, we decided to have a bite to eat in the main restaurant. Dorian, met us with a smile and made sure we felt at home. Our room was excellent! Big, ultra clean, stocked with anything you needed, and plenty of room for large luggage. Finally, I rarely write reviews. I made it a point to send this one thru as I wanted other travelers to know that when visiting Salzburg, their home away from home is the Sheraton Grand.
