Sheraton Djibouti

Right by the beach with an amazing view from the room. The hotel is well-maintained and the staff are very friendly. The beach gets busy on weekends with expats, but it still felt like a peaceful escape from Djibouti’s intense heat and humidity.

We stayed 7 days at this hotel. I'm Titanium Elite member (Marriott Bonvoy) so I've been in lots of Sheraton hotels worldwide and unfortunately Sheraton Djibouti is much below the standard of Sheraton hotels. The hotel does need renovation and most of the staff should have lots of training in order to achieve the level expected at the Sheraton. I'd like to mention that only Mr Hasan from the reception/front desk deserves all compliments - he was very nice, professional and ready to help.

I stayed in the recently-renovated floor and the rooms are brand new, spacious and bright. The staff constantly went above and beyond any expectations to ensure I had a great stay. The outdoor pool area is perfect to relax especially during the week when is not crowded. Overall, a great stay and would definitely come back!

Very poor service. Poorly trained and managed staff. Being nice, smiling and good willing is not enough in a Sheraton. Freezing temperature in the room and the common areas. No control on the A/C and no possibility to open the window. Less than 50% of the bottles in the beer and wine list are available. The shuttle bus is in urgent need to be repaired (or replaced). I had already requested it upon arrival but never got an answer. Every morning and every afternoon, the reception staff told us they would find a better room for us… Never happened.

Wonderful chilled and relaxing location - an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Djibouti City! Friendly and kind staff - always willing to help! Great restaurant - breakfast and dinner! Thanks Idris for the chilled wine and great service with a smile! Pool was very pleasant with comfy beds and great location by the sea! Would definitely stay here again if I came to Djibouti!
