Sheraton Djibouti

Super friendly and kind staff and a little oasis in Djibouti City. We had a lovely room with a small terrace on the ground floor. Food and drinks were great and especial thanks to Idris in the restaurant. We were also very happy and lucky to be given a great late checkout before our long trip back to Hong Kong

Relaxing and enjoyable stay (4 nights) -staff were very friendly and kind. The room had everything we needed and clean/comfortable - great shower! Breakfast was really good and dinner had good veggie choices!

Airport pickup guy was not visible but I found him eventually. Hotel is on the beach and has beautiful panoramic sea views. There is a club lounge, gymnasium and a selection of restaurants indoor and outdoor and a coffee shop next to reception. Refurbished sea facing rooms are nice, especially the sea view.

Been coming here for the last 4 years and the staff now consider me family. Great feeling to be taken care of like a member of their family. Particularly, the staff at the cafe- Said, Ali, Fathia, Haweya, Abdullah, and others always greet me with a warm smile. Reception staff also fantastic as well as the restaurant staff led by Sam (breakfast chef) and of course the head chef.

Little bit pricey

First, the location is magnificent, with an amazing view of the sea. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with all the means to facilitate your stay. The restaurant was in a great location and view, and the food was great, with reasonable varieties. The gym was open 24 hours, which was great.

The care and cleaning of the beach need to be more regular, building a long marina will add great value because there are great tides there.

The food is below average and way too expensive. It took them 3 hrs to check me in. My ocean view room had zero ocean view. It was just trees and a large building outside my window. The room welcoming card had a complete stranger's name on it. Lastly, the shuttle that was suppose to pick us at the airport did not.

Friendly staff when facing you, building has been renovated and it is not to far from the airport.

Unresponsive and non-professional staff. This property is definitely not suitable for a professional stay. I have tried to call and sent a semi-dozen of messages before my stay to book a taxi from the airport, no one ever replied to me. I had to find out on my own upon arrival. I could not get a new invoice while their invoice are not at international standard level so my firm refuses to reimburse my stay. I have tried to reach the hotel for the last two weeks no one respond. Besides the food is awful (lots of lyophilised US inspired food). I absolutely do not recommend this hotel for professional stays.
