New Orleans Marriott Metairie At Lakeway

A pretty nice hotel close to the airport. The public spaces downstairs have been modernized more recently (?) than the rooms. The room was nice, AC worked as should. The only a bit bothering thing was the noises from the corridor from other guest entering/exiting their rooms. No big deal but I just noted it.

I’m a Marriott Bonvoy member and have stayed at several Marriott properties around the world, but this was by far the most disappointing experience. At around 2:00 PM, I called the front desk to ask why my room hadn’t been cleaned yet. I was told that it’s their “policy” to make rooms up until 4:00 PM, something I’ve never experienced in any other Marriott. When I asked to speak to a manager, the person who identified herself as the manager was rude, dismissive, and told me to “go ahead and change hotels” before hanging up on me. To make things worse, housekeeping only came in to drop off toilet paper and didn’t actually clean or make the room. The overall attitude and lack of care were shocking, especially coming from a brand that’s usually known for its hospitality and professionalism. I’m truly disappointed, this experience does not reflect the Marriott standard of service I’ve come to trust.

I had a great experience traveling to New Orleans and staying at the Mettairie Marriott for the first time. Room was huge however be aware that your room will become a sauna during sundown on one side of the building because of all the windows (tip close the curtains in the afternoon and keep AC as low as possible). Carol Landry is the best host at the restaurant. She was very pleasant and me with a lot of tips. She saved me from missing my flight.

Nothing

The rooms all had disgusting blankets, they refused to give us new ones said they had no clean ones to give and we should deal with it, they charged my grandma for breakfast even though I prepaid for it. You guys have false pictures on your website so we were under the impression of getting something that wasn’t there. I will be Calling your guys coporate and theirs about all this. I even have photos of the disgusting blankets

The room was nice but appeared to be missing some furniture. The suite we were in had a TV on the wall with multiple cords hanging out from underneath and a mini frig just floating on the flor underneath. The sofa was very uncomfortable but the bed was great. The room was quiet and everything seemed to work properly. It was a bit dated when it comes to decor but overall I would not hesitate to stay there again. The staff was the most attentive that I have ever experienced and the valet was awesome.

Very clean, quiet, and the staff was very friendly. The view from the room was nice, so we left the curtains open all night to see the city lights.
