New Orleans Marriott Metairie At Lakeway

Room was clean but getting old. Needs updated

Causeway Marriott is a great place to stay. The staff are amazing and competent. It’s super clean and safe. We stay here often.

This was my first time visiting the hotel, and I was very pleased. It’s an older hotel, but it’s very well kept and the parking was very reasonable. It’s close to the mall and several food spots, in addition to being only fifteen minutes from the airport. I had a great experience and would definitely stay there in the future.

The Hotel itself was okay but not the expectations when I requested a "birthday" acknowledgement. I requested some kind of birthday recognition the day of my arrival to be in the hotel room even if it cost me. The lady I spoke on the phone with told me it would be done and not to worry. Well the day came and as we walked into the room, there was no birthday acknowledgement at all. This was very disappointing and ruined the surprise for my wife. I'm not sure what happened but we were let down and I hope this doesn't happen to someone else.

10-15 minute hop to New Orleans. Nicely nestled away on the Lake in Metairie. Great views from the upper floors. Exceptional Valet service!

Our trip was a family trip. I recommend this hotel, there are many positives regarding this hotel that far exceed my negative. Hotel was clean and all the staff ( front desk , housekeeping and wait staff) were super nice and friendly. Can’t say enough about how nice all the staff were! Restaurant was nice and clean and food was delicious. The gym was adequate but there was another gym on the property if u wanted to pay additional money to use. This hotel is next to the water with concrete walking/jogging and bike paths. We walked , jogged multiple days from hotel ( which was right there at water and paths were right there). My only complaint is that the beds in the double bed rooms were only double beds. My wife and I are use to a king bed but can very comfortably sleep in a queen but the double beds felt small to us. If it’s just 1 person to a bed then that’s great but if you have a family that may have 3 or 4 people with multiple people sharing a bed, the beds felt small and cramped. Now the room was nice and clean and roomy . The room could have definitely fit bigger beds. Anyways that’s our only complaint was sharing a double bed, didn’t sleep well with being so cramped. Besides the double beds being small the room, hotel , restaurant and staff were all nice to great. We would stay here again .

Although I depend heavily on reviews when booking hotels, I have never written a review from myself, until now. I have stayed here at the New Orleans Marriott Metarie at Lakeway several times for business. I have never had a complaint. Clean areas from the entry down to the elevator walls. This particular visit deserves a Woo Hoo because of a special lady named Carol. You can find her in the restaurant. Unfortunately, I was unable to book a room with a fridge and microwave, until I met Carol. She listened and empathized with my situation and provided me with options. Due to her active listening and fantastic customer service, I was able to go to the front desk, request a microwave, and a fridge for my room. Both delivered within 20 minutes. If you are looking for a place with good food, hot water, and great hospitality, New Orleans Marriott Metarie at Lakeway is the place to be.
