Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa & Casino

We recently stayed for Father's Day 2026. The grounds are absolutely stunning, and they have access to a private beach and we enjoyed all the amenities, guided tours, onsite restaurants. Friendly staff. We also did a guided trumpet meditation with Dennis with friends and it was amazing! The view from our balcony room was amazing and I enjoyed listening to the sounds of a nearby brook during our stay.

As a loyal Hyatt Globalist, I have always trusted the Hyatt brand for its inclusive and professional service. However, my experience at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe on Sunday, June 21st, was deeply disturbing and unacceptable. We had a boat/kayaking reservation for 2:45 PM and arrived promptly at 2:30 PM to check in. The female staff member at the desk was assisting a Caucasian family of three who did not have a reservation. She was incredibly warm, smiling, and happily offered to put them on a waitlist in case someone didn't show up. When it was our turn immediately after, her demeanor completely shifted. She was remarkably cold, offered no smile, abruptly had us sign the waiver, and told us to wait aside for others to show up. We sat in the same waiting area as the Caucasian family. Approaching 2:45 PM, the staff member called the waitlisted family over. She gave us a very deliberate look but intentionally did not call us—the guests who actually had the 2:45 PM reservation. We waited until 2:47 PM and approached her ourselves. Shockingly, she acted impatient, asked if we had even signed the waiver (which she had just instructed us to do 15 minutes prior), and claimed she "didn't see us" sitting right there. Her attitude strongly suggested that she was intentionally bypassing our reservation in favor of the walk-in Caucasian family, and had we not proactively confronted her, we would have been denied our reserved activity entirely. The stark contrast in her treatment—warmly accommodating a walk-in Caucasian family while acting hostile and attempting to skip the reservation of guests of color—felt highly discriminatory. This was a textbook example of unprofessionalism and potential racial bias. I expect Hyatt to take this matter seriously, investigate the staff member's conduct on that day, and provide a meaningful response on how this will be addressed.

From check-in to poolside to dinner and even some casino play the cleanliness of the hotel the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our three day. Stay with another couple and can’t wait to go back. the shareable bites from the pool bar are amazingly portioned and absolutely delicious. we shared the pokey nachos the fish tacos the peach Gorgonzola salad, the truffle, french fries and the avocado toast over our two days we spent poolside, and it was all fantastic. Our poolside server Jorge was amazing very attentive, kind and fun we also enjoyed dinner at Osteria and the food and drinks more wonderful as well as the ambience and service. we will definitely make another stay at the Hyatt in the near future.

Beautiful resort on Lake Tahoe. The only downside was that beach access was limited because of construction nearby. I would definitely bring my family to this destination for the views of the mountains and the pristine lake.

Great location for a convention, wonderful staff and location. Nestled amongst Jack pines, it's a wonderful setting. Highly recommended.

Spa is ok. Sports bar nice

Dated. Elevator broken. Had to walk 12 flights of stairs down. Bad casino and low end restaurant with no ambiance

The hotel and rooms are very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub are excellent, very large, spacious, and relaxing! The food and drinks are also great. They did a great job hosting my friend's wedding for a very enjoyable and memorable time. The nightly rate is expensive, but the hotel is very high-quality.

Resort was beautiful, very well run, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The complimentary s'mores were hot garbage... old marshmallows and stale graham crackers... they'd be better off not offering them at all. My expensive headphones also went missing after the room was cleaned on the first night... While this appeared to be an outlier, it must be noted.

The staff! I have been a globalist for over 20 years and am accustomed to a high level of service. The Hyatt team at Lake Tahoe was among the best! It started before we even checked in with Sophia S. reaching out and ensuring we had the perfect room. Then the team at Hyatt Adventures, namely Haley, Megan, Alex, Hans, Judah, Flor, and Parker really made the difference. Each of them were so great helping my kids kayak and paddle board. The memories they enabled are priceless. Yvonne, Danny G from security , Amanda and Sloan (sp?) at the front desk, and Dustin from Valet also demonstrated outstanding customer orientation. And Natasha and MacKenzie (sp?) are clearly outstanding leaders because an A+ team like that doesn't just happen accidentally!

Really beautiful resort and Lake Tahoe is amazing. We only had breakfast at the restaurant and it was good but pricey. There are some great restaurants just up the road from the resort to check out. We enjoyed the kayaks and having beach passes to a nearby members only beach since the Hyatt one is closed for construction. Our favorite activity was the e-bikes you can rent onsite and ride the bike path along the coast. We by no means picked this resort for the casino but is was always empty and maybe could have been more lively and fun if the costs per hand wasn’t $25.
