Calgary Marriott Downtown Hotel

Loud construction and a horrible 45 minute long fire alarm at 3:00am with vague instructions and no apology offered.

The location was good for what we were there for and had decided that we just stay here as we have stayed here in the past and knew the type of services the hotel provides for us.

What we didn’t like was that the fire alarm went off our first night there and the communication to tell us either we leave our room and make our way down to the lobby or stay in the our room for further notice needs to be worked on. But we were glad that it was a false alarm and that the reason for the alarm was that one of the fire exits was trying to entered to the hotel was opened in which set of the alarm. Also the AC control in the room needs to adjusted so temperature of the AC unit can be lowered so it can make the room more cold can be looked at or perhaps changed as we are people who like colder rooms when days are hot out and you come to your room to cool off would be helpful.

Location was great. Our view in our room was giant walls 😆. The larger restaurant, milestone maybe it was called, was good. The one beside the elevators really did not have much on the dinner or breakfast menu especially if you had kids and was really expensive. Ended up just doing Starbucks for that. The price is extremely high for the room we stayed in was not anything above and beyond or special about it. I think the price is what you pay for location but I would rather stay at a nicer hotel for cheaper with a pool or hot tub and take a form of transportation in for future 🤷‍♀️ However the purpose we were there was for a wedding and it was a pretty beautiful venue for that
