Crystal Gateway Marriott

The web site indicated that wi-fi is included in the basic hotel rate. IN fact the hotel wants $12.95 per day for wi fi. That's not acceptable. I expect a high end hotel to include internet in the room. I will not book a hotel that charges extra for wi-fi. Come on it's 2026! Wi fi should be standard just like a tv

Great location. The room was very nice updated and clean. The parking garage I had to let some air out of the tires of my 2004 Ford F250 unless the roof lights hit. Lots to eat within a short drive or walk.

Had a really amazing long weekend at the Marriott Crystal City. We are from Richmond and drove up for a long weekend stay during Super Bowl Weekend as we had plans to go to Wizards game. Being that there is a walkway to the metro, it made it super convenient for us to get to DC. We stayed in a king bedroom with M Lounge access. The lounge was super convenient when needed to grab a beverage and a snack. It also comes with the breakfast Buffet. It seems like they cater to doing more things during the week (assuming that’s for all the business travelers) as on Monday - they had someone in the breakfast area making omelets. Wish they had it during the weekend because that fresh omelet was much better than the scrambled eggs 😆 The first night we arrived, we grabbed some dinner To go from the downstairs restaurant. Food was fine, nothing amazing. Room was spacious and clean. No complaints. Overall, would definitely stay here again. Parking is pricing but it’s NOVA so it’s to be expected.

The faucet in the room sink was somewhat broken, and I think one of the lights didn't work.

Nice, open, and clean. Parking was great.

I like many reading this email have been traveling for several years and have achieved Titanium status with Marriott. I have had both wonderful experiences and poor at Marriott hotel however this tops the list of the most deplorable experiences ever at a Marriott hotel, in my experience. My reservation was made using Marriott Rewards points. I checked in via the mobile app and was initially assigned a room on the 16th floor. Upon arrival, the front desk associate informed me that the assigned room was no longer available and instead placed us in room 426. While this change was disappointing, I accepted it without issue. After placing our belongings in the room, we went to the hotel restaurant for dinner. During our meal, we noticed significant noise coming from the atrium area above the lobby. At the time, we assumed it was a temporary event and expected that noise levels would be appropriately managed later in the evening. We returned to our room around 9:30 PM. The noise continued, and from our window—room 426 directly overlooking the atrium—we could see a large group gathered. We attempted to be patient, assuming the group would disperse as the evening progressed. By 11:30 PM, however, the noise had escalated rather than diminished. There was loud yelling and screaming, making it impossible to sleep. I went to the front desk and spoke with Oscar Martinez. I asked whether he felt this level of noise was appropriate at 11:30 PM. He refused to answer the question. He then stated that the noise was coming from a group with a contract and that there was “absolutely nothing” he could do about it. I find this surprising and hard to believe that Marriott would give any group complete autonomy to be as loud, for as long, and as late as they wish to be, particularly during late-night hours. My comment was ignored, and I was told that I could check out if I wished, At 11:30 PM, this was not a reasonable solution. I returned to the room. The excessive noise continued until approximately 2:30 AM, at which point we were finally able to sleep. My hope is that others reading this review will make alternate choices in hotels when traveling to the DCA airport or Arlington, VA area. This hotel and the staff there do not deserve your patronage.
