Uma Galih Ubud Villa

I've greatly enjoyed my stay at the Uma Galih Villa on the outskirts of Ubud. The villa includes a lovely swimming pool and garden, with a terrace outside the main room, where delicious, reasonably priced breakfasts are served. The kitchenette to the side of the terrace is very functional and includes a full sized refrigerator/freezer. The bathroom includes a stand alone shower and a deep, full sized bath tub. I guess what I love best about the villa is its vast, tall ceiling -- perfect for listening to rain on the roof in the evenings! The villa's support team are all efficient and hospitable, and are willing to assist you in arranging rides to various parts of the island. One point that potential guests should note (and that hotels.com should correct). The location of Uma Galih Villa is incorrectly identified on the hotels.com website map; however GoogleMaps does display its correct location.

Amazing villa close to the Ubud Town. Conveniently located and exceptionally well maintained villa with a host of luxury features. The value for money is unparalleled given that there is a private swimming pool. To top it off the staff (Wisnu) was exceptionally accommodating, friendly and attentive. He picked us up from airport, explained about Bali and Ubud, arranged rental scooters on our request, dropped us to our next destination and took care of all our needs while staying over in the villa. The personal touch for all the services was definitely the highlight.

The road leading over to the accomodation (clearly not owned by the villa) was not in a great state. I understand though that this not something they can control/influence.

Wisnu was an excellent host! He communicated excellently with WhatsApp, helped me with transportation both to/from the airport and with renting a scooter to get around. He brought delicious breakfast every morning and additional food when I ordered it. The facilities were exceptionally clean and cozy, and were cleaned every day.

Excellent privacy and beautiful personal swimming pool. The staff is excellent. Close to city centre around 3km. Help you with hiring two wheeler and various activities in area. Room is huge and kitchen is excellent. Nicely equipped and excellent for honeymoon couples who love privacy and own villa. Excellent shower really refreshing. Breakfast is freshly made.

Being a jungle there are lizards in room which can be uncomfortable. They charge extra for digital payments made around 3 per. The curtain are not provided everywhere and people wake up to early morning light from bathroom door and lightholes. As there is personal swimming pool in room they should not have timings according to them but according to guests as it's personal and guest should not adjust timing according to them. Mattress a little hard for me.

We had a comfortable stay and felt welcome right away. They arranged to pick us up from the airport and had a scooter ready for us as discussed before. The location is nice and quiet with a good coffee place nearby (within walking distance). The swimming pool and sunbeds were perfect to hang out at the villa.

Loneliness.

The villa is located near main street in Ubud, our favorite town in Bali. The staff of the villa is very kind and they can help you with renting a motorbike (we rented it from them and probably had one of the best motorbikes in Bali). The staff is so kind, they helped us with everything we asked. They provided us with information about trips around Bali and they really helped us when we had a problem with a taxi, which didn’t came on time when we were in a hurry. Villa is very clean, they give you fresh towels and fresh bottles of water every day. You can also order food and they bring it to your villa. The WIFI connection works well also. We stayed there for 10 days and highly recommend it!
