Sturbridge Host Hotel And Conference Center

This was marketed as the “executive suite” when I got there they said I have the “mini suite” There was no balcony, the “mini suite” was just a large king bed with a couch and two TVs. I said again that I was “excited to see what the executive suite was.” But, they just looked confused and said I booked the mini suite. I showed them my reservation, and then they gave me my room keys. The hotel is very old, not up to date with many of the hotels I usually stay in. I will most likely be staying elsewhere each year when I make a business trip to Sturbridge. I’m mostly disappointed that I spent extra money on a “executive suite” only to get a slightly larger king size room. No microwave, no fridge, and the faint smell of an old building. 4/10. Wouldn’t stay again.

This hotel has fallen into disrepair. I would stay far away from this place it’s gross.

The room was very out-dated, Minor damage - broken window, dents to bathroom door. Bed was awful. Restaurant closed.

Shower and toilet backed up in two different rooms. Both rooms were dirty. Staff was kind.

It would have been perfect had there been a good cup of coffee some where in the hotel. Not the little ones in the room with powdered creamer or the one in the call where u had to pay for the pod. But a good cup of fresh coffee. Next time I will have to bring my own pot coffee and creamer.. and a cup

I really wanted to like this hotel. It has so much potential. This place is so run down and outdated, it's sad. The young lady who checked us in was very pleasant. She was definitely the best part of our stay. Our first room was disgusting. The hallway to the room smelled like mold/mildew. The room itself was very outdated and faced what looked like a parking lot for abandoned vehicles. Lamp broken, door lock broken. Smelled terrible. Requested a different room. Same lady put us in a different room. Still very pleasant and willing to change our room. New room...not much different than our first room. Hallway didn't stink like the first but it was very cold. Beds (boxspring/mattresses) were very old, stained and torn. Due to other reviews, I did check for bed bugs. Luckly none were found. One corner of the room smelled very strong of cat/dog urine. Must be a "pet friendly" room. Hot water for shower lasted about 5 minutes into it. NO FRIDGE OR MICROWAVE. They are available but you have to request them and they cost $10 extra a night. Parking lot was not cleared after previous snow storm which made parking and accessing hotel next to impossible. NO HOT TUB which was very disappointing. Long story short. I would NEVER stay here again.
