Probably my most favorite stay ever! We went to eat at Water’s Edge while visiting Charlestown and saw Shem Creek Inn and had to come back and stay there. Didn’t disappoint! Doug checked us in and he might’ve been the best part of the Inn but it was all so great, even the grab and go breakfast. No soggy, rubbery eggs, just all great breakfast options! Thank you and we’ll be back!!

We had such a blast staying at the Shem Creek Inn!!! The room was perfect, the view was amazing, the neighborhood was beautiful, the pool was super fun, and the neighboring restaurants were all wonderful! We stay in Charleston several times per year, and this will certainly be our new go-to spot!!! Thank you for everything!

We had a wonderful time during our quick trip and truly enjoyed our stay. Check-in was smooth, and we were pleasantly surprised to receive two free drink vouchers, which could be used for water, beer, or even wine! The lobby was tastefully decorated, and we appreciated the binders with local restaurant menus, which made choosing our lunch spot much easier. We also enjoyed spending time by the pool, and the location couldn’t have been better. When we arrived in our room, we were pleased to find very clean beds with soft linens and wonderfully comfortable pillows. We slept great that night! In terms of cleanliness, it was about what you’d expect from a hotel. The beds were spotless, but the floor felt a bit sticky to me, so I just kept my socks or shoes on when walking around. Overall, we would gladly return. The hotel is an excellent value for a waterfront location, pool access, and proximity to restaurants. We really loved the area, and it made for a great stay.
