JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort

Great location.

Not worth the cost.

We liked everything about this hotel from the moment we got there. Valet parking was optional so we could fetch our car ourselves. Plenty of bell hops for luggage to room. Room was spacious with pool and gulf facing balcony. Beautiful closets with lit up closet rods. Nice shower and bath space with private toilet area. Hotel was beautiful and huge. Many restaurants and bars to choose from. Good workout room. Many activities and excursions available. Lots of kids activities and spaces on the beach. Gorgeous pools and tiki cabanas. Beachside food and drink service. Sunset ceremony at night with fire twirler. Absolutely gorgeous beach with white flat sand and perfect surf. We walked several miles until there were no condos or hotels. Just sea grass. Perfect sunsets. This is a special place.

A lot of activities for family etc

There was a certain porter who took my money for a tip and never parked my car or brought my baggage to my room. He apparently went off shift and I had to retrieve my luggage by myself. This happened Sunday afternoon Dec 14. The person was a bald white guy. I was furious .

Expensive restaurant’s

Loved how clean the hotel, beach and pool were. My kids enjoyed the kids pool very much. I loved how close the beach was to the hotel.

There were a few things that I did not like and expected to be so much better. First, the drinks were terrible. I was really looking forward to having some yummy drinks and they were all so bad and over priced. We ordered spicy margaritas when we got them them were not spicy or fresh. I was told that it must've been the batch. For the price the drinks should be freshly made not coming from a "batch". I again tried to get another drink and also terrible. We stuck to beer and wine for the whole stay. We also had an incident on the beach with one of the men that pick up the chairs. He first yelled at my kids because they were playing with the umbrella.. He could have told me and I would have handled it. Second he came to pick up our chairs an hour before time to pick up and didn't even say anything. Mind you we were sitting right there. We then asked for his name he refused to give it to us... He got aggressive with one of the men in my family. It was a very bad experience. Lastly, the bathroom in the pool area was gross...
