Rochester Airport Marriott

The staff is as nice as can be. Very welcoming and helpful. The room was not as great unfortunately. The ceiling had water damage, the headboard was dirty and had stains on it, the chair fabric was so filthy we wouldn’t sit on it, the tub needed to be replaced, water damage on the bathroom door, walls were paper thin, bed very uncomfortable…

The place was overall nice.

Too far from the airport for it to be called an “airport” Marriott. It was about a 20 min. Uber ride. When checking in Tyron was very rude, I had to ask for a manager. The hotel added $100 hold (which was not listed at booking.com). Additionally, I requested a King room and that was what my rate was based on. Instead they gave me a double Queen with no adjustment to the rate. For a Marriott, the customer service experience checking in was not any better than checking in at a cheap motel. Truly unprofessional check in staff starting with Tyron.

The hotel was in a good location.

The beds and pillows were not comfortable at all, no microwave in the room.

The new lady checking us in was nice and tried her best and that was the highlight of the stay. The hotel is in desperate need of a facelift. The room was very musty smelling and bothered the entire families allergies. The beds were old and not comfortable at all. The housekeeping comes every 4 days which I found out about by finding a piece of paper hidden on the desk. The towels, soap and shampoo were not full to begin with. We had to try and get more towels which was hard because workers didn’t understand what you were asking. We were confirmed to have breakfast included but each time we went in we were given different information. The “buffet” is only on the weekends and is the same as any other hotels included breakfast. It was supposed to have omelets and waffles which were not out. We had to ask for water. We waited for 5 minutes in the restaurant and nobody was seen or heard. Went to the front desk and the employee was annoyed I asked him if anyone was in the restaurant. When he said wait, I said we did and he stormed off with attitude. Upon checkout, the person at the desk didn’t ask anything. I turned in the key, they printed my receipt and that was the end of the interaction. There was no asking how our stay or any other interaction. This was not up to the usual Marriott standards. It was a disappointment and will not be staying here again until they remodel and train their staff.

Gym and pool were great. WiFi excellent. Restaurant dinner menu very limited but service was excellent. I had an issue with someone opening my room door at midnight. I had the latch on but they clearly had access to my room. The front desk had no explanation.

My wife and I used this hotel for our wedding weekend for us and all of our guests to stay at, and we also hosted our welcome drinks event here. The staff is truly amazing here, and were so helpful with everything! Our event was awesome too. The drinks and food were great, the event space was really impressive, and everyone seemed to have a great time. The rooms were also nice and clean. Lastly, after our wedding we came back to the hotel late and they chose to keep the bar open late for us at no extra cost, and were happy to serve us drinks late into the night for no reason other than to make our night special. Special shoutout to Rebekka for helping us coordinate our event, George for running our event and after party so smoothly, and all the rest of the staff who helped us have an amazing weekend. I highly, highly recommend using this hotel to host an event and to stay at because of the amazing staff!!

The hotel is rundown. We had to relocate rooms because of the noise in the room next door.

Loved the hotel and service they provided. There was a shuttle to the airport which we used everyday.
