I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The staff were absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The rooms were spotless, but more importantly, they were incredibly comfortable—I slept like a dream! The view from my room was breathtaking, and the food was top-notch. If you’re visiting, do yourself a favor and try the spicy margaritas at the bar—they’re a must! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

What a beautiful hotel! We stayed when everything was decorated for Christmas and what a delight it was! The grounds are well kept and so nice. Beautiful flowers, swings, gorgeous views, excellent staff, clean rooms, and the list goes on!!! Can't wait to return when the weather is warm and we can enjoy the beautiful pool!

Loved our room and view in the Spa Building. Had great food and enjoyed the fried crab claws. Enjoyed the beauty and spectacular ambiance of the property. We watched the afternoon cannon firing. We loved walking through and seeing all of the outdoor Christmas decorations.

This is my favorite hotel in Alabama. It is very kid friendly. My suggestion would be more dining options in the fall/winter when the pool is closed.

Beautiful location, the hotel is clearly extremely proud of its fascinating history. The rooms however in the main inn are very dark, outdated, dusty and decorated chaotically. I had previously stayed in the Spa building and would book that again if I return. I would love to see a decor update that would respect the history of building but lighten up the interiors of the rooms because they were not reflective of being at a beautiful waterfront location. The coziness of the lodgey vibe, especially decorated for the holidays in the main areas of the building was nice but rooms were not my favorite. The highlight of visit was outdoor firepits at night with drink service-I would return solely for that. Get outside and explore the beautiful views of bay, multiple sitting areas.

The setting and beauty of the Grand Hotel and its facilities, all kept in pristine condition, are notable. While this is a top-drawer property, the prices (especially for food and beverages) seemed a little high. Perhaps the portion sizes of some of the large entrees could be reduced, though the high quality of the ingredients may account for some of the added expense.

Super clean and comfortable. Amazing views of the bay. Afternoon cannon firing and hot tea and cookies. It’s a lovely spot to stay and the amenities are super. Very nice linens and towels and good lighting. Lovely balcony to sit and enjoy the view. Staff very helpful and eager to serve.
