Marriott Albany

This is a nice hotel overall. Rooms and facilities are solid.

The computer systems for the hotel and the wi-fi were not working for the entire stay. The staff was required to walk you to your room to facilitate entry.

I usually love staying at Marriott’s , but this trip was marred by the attitude of the front desk staff ( not all ) and the manager David Hales . I booked a room online ( through work ) and I was reminded ( no less than 6 times ) that I “ booked through a third party”. Regardless, I am a Bonvoy member and every time I asked a question , I was reminded of it . Mind you , my family was also staying there and they were received and treated much better due to the fact that they booked directly. We checked in at the same time . I was unable to use my purchases at the hotel towards my membership ( I’ve never had that happen before ) . I spoke to the manager and in his words “ I see they ( staff) was condescending to you”. Yes, because it is obvious that you have trained them this way . Shame on you Mr. Hales . I wonder if you speak to men the same way you speak to women ? As far as the hotel is concerned, it needs a bit more maintenance. The bar staff was great , only they ran out of / or couldn’t make items on the menu.

Marriott Albany delivered a clean, comfortable, and reliable stay. My room and common areas were well‑maintained, and the staff made a great first impression with smooth, friendly check‑in. The location is convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants and major highways, which made getting around simple. Parking was plentiful, and the gym was never crowded during my visits. If I had remembered swim shorts, I would’ve taken advantage of the pool as well. The property does feel a bit dated in places, but everything functioned well and cleanliness was consistently strong. I had lounge access, and the breakfast experience was a nice touch. Having an attendant keeping things stocked and organized made it feel a bit more elevated, and the food quality was pretty good. Overall, this is a solid full‑service Marriott clean rooms, good service, and a convenient location. A dependable choice for business or travel through the Albany area.

Pool was beautiful, shower water pressure was amazing and bed was super comfy. Everything was very clean

My credit card was charged $20 more than the agreed price on Booking.com

Everything was very nice.

The room temperature was less than optimal. It did not get cool in the room the whole night despite setting the thermostat to 64 degrees.
