"A disappointing visit after many years' use."

This hotel has long been my Seattle overnight choice when on business or personal travel. It is well located in North Seattle (8 mins to downtown in non-rush hour, 35 mins to downtown in yesterday's rush hour), and its rooms are nicely laid out. Beds are normal. Sound insulation surprisingly good in spite of freeway proximity. Most recent stay, however, was disappointing. Heating unit did not function. Water volume in sink was ludicrous. "Gift bag" on check-in (two Oreos, some chips and a bottle of water) was such a tone-deaf waste of money that it suggested cultural misunderstanding. Elimination of the former breakfast room and decent breakfast options in favor of a pre-ordered "Grab and Go" is regrettable. Elimination of small bar soap in favor of wall-mounted dispensers of cheap body wash, shampoo, etc. is again indicative of a penny-wise downgrade. I hope (new?) management will address these problems.

It’s okay. More reasonably priced than a number of other hotels/motels in Seattle, though far from downtown/waterfront. Room was very no-frills and basic. Beds were comfortable. Shower had good water pressure. Saw silverfish bug in bathroom.
