The Wayfarer San Luis Obispo, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

The carpets throughout this hotel are completely gross. Every carpet (hallways, stairwell, my room) is stained. Not here and there, but every square foot. I've been visiting this hotel about 1x per year for at least 6 years. 6 Years ago, the carpets looked clean and pretty cool. But it's clear that it's time to update. They're absolutely disgusting. The faux leather headboard in my room was also falling apart. The current owners of this hotel should be ashamed of how far behind they are in investing in upkeep.

Casual and relaxed.

The hotel is lovely but the parking fees are ridiculous. It’s a large lot in an unpopulated area. No reason to charge $12 a day.

The hotel is charming and the decor was great, however there were some annoyances. The hotel restaurant has no servers and ordering is through an app. The refrigerator in the room did not work. The shower head was fairly antiquated for such a nice looking hotel. We were assured we would get maid service during our stay when we asked and they did not provide it. Friendly, but seemingly not having the necessary staff to run the hotel properly.

Austin at the front desk was extremely helpful

Location is great to visit the Big Sur area. The shared space with the pit fire is really nice.

The room was ok but the carpet is stained and dirty. The water was warm and not hot and I personally don’t like the tub!

They need a better market in the hotel with food items. Also pool is beautiful and should have food and beverage service. Coffee maker knocks the cup out and spills the coffee. Propert itself is very hip and swanky. Style is great. Roof top is amazing with great views.

The rooms here are really nice and clean. I gave it 4 stars because the toilets are the size of children's toilets at a school. Not great for my 6 ft tall husband who just had knee surgery. Other than that this was a nice stay.

Very clean, modern, great cafe/bar, good location close to CalPoly. Hotel staff were awesome, especially Hamed, who was super helpful, courteous, and professional.
