Delta Hotels by Marriott Columbia Northeast

This is a good hotel, rated slightly better than average due to a few factors. There's no lounge, only a $10 per room breakfast credit in the on site Mexican restaurant. Conditioner in the room was empty. The pool was closed, and the property could use a refresh. Very nice front desk staff, super comfortable beds, free parking, and easy to find, right off the freeway location. Close to a Texas Roadhouse, Fazoli's, Chili's, Outback, Arby's, IHOP, and a Chick fil a.

It was a really nice time there

The staff is VERY NICE. Could be a super nice hotel, but it is well worn. You can just tell it gets a ton of traffic by the general wear and tear. On the first floor by the elevators wall paper is pealing at the edges of the seams, there are vents that are crusted with dust, and general stains and spots all around. It isn’t horrible, I’d love to give a higher rating, but it is attention to details and these details are lacking. Beds were comfy although half are pillows were worn out (again details). Laminate flooring was lifting in bathroom. It grosses me out to think of what is under them. Again some maintenance and repairs would fix all this. Over hotel felt safe and was quiet. Overall our to details and wear it is an average stay. In fairness I didn’t call out these details to a manger, they walk past these things every day and clearly over look them or think they are acceptable, otherwise they would be repaired. These are items that have been this way for some time. Also of that set the standard that these things are UNACCEPTABLE then all staff would document and bring to maintenance for repairs.

The property was clean & nice

The room I was in had water coming from the floor in the bathroom , causing me to slip and fall and cut open my face!! When I reached out nobody had anything to offer me or didn’t ask was everything okay . NOTHING

The stay was good,however I found mildew on our shower curtain on the hem. It bothered me alot. I tried to wash most of it off. I feel like housekeeping is not doing a deep clean to catch these issues before customers have to experience this. I love Marriott brands and will always be an dedicated customer but I want to feel like it's a home away from home stay.

Great price. Comfortable clean rooms. Friendly staff.
