DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Pittsburgh Downtown

Attended A10 Basketball Tournament this weekend. Proximity to PPG Paint Arena is perfect. Hotel is under renovations so a lot of disruption at the moment. Decent hotel with cleanliness, staff is friendly and accommodating.

Excellent except for minor SERVICE SABOTAGE. WHICH SEEMS TO BE RESOLVED BY 60%. HOUSEKEEPING REFUSES TO SERVICE MY ROOM. EVERY TIME. AND ON ONE OCCASION. THEY CONTACTED POLICE

I liked the efficient design of the room. Excellent use of space. Someone brought me a space heater when the room was cold, which was great. The employees that I encountered, especially at the front desk, were extraordinarily gracious and helpful. They made me feel like a welcomed guest.

I was disappointed that I didn't have a refrigerator, and that I couldn't control the heat the second day I was there. The odd, squared design of the sink made it impossible to easily rinse or clean. That was very gross. The restaurant was too expensive for me and the neighborhood did not feel safe at night.

Location was great. The staff was extremely nice.

Just small maintenance issues. The toilet would run periodically. The tub has been painted and was peeling.

beds were comfortable, room was a good size for two people

had to let the shower run for 10 mins until there was hot water, we had no conditioner to use in the shower (bottle was empty); ice maker on our floor didn't work and had to go to another floor to get ice; $40 to park car overnight was extreme!
