Comfort Inn Wethersfield - Hartford

The room was clean. The bed very comfortable.

Pros: able to check in late, adequate water pressure, fairly quiet room, bed sheets and pillows clean and comfortable, breakfast was good Cons: not very clean, calling the hotel got no answer even when repeatedly calling for several hours, finding staff for any assistance beyond checking in was nearly impossible

All ice machines were not working, of which one flooded the the area and was never cleaned up for entire stay. Hair dryer broken. Ejevator down button did not work. Breakfast provided not impressive and employee monitored watched diners like a hawk. Many employees did not speak English.

Horrible from beginning. Staff was rude and creepy. Hallways smelled like animal urine. Cockroaches in rooms. Guests were expected to be housekeepers checking rooms to make sure they were clean .

This hotel was very dirty, had to switch rooms due to lots of roaches being in the bathroom. The workers were stalking on everyone, knocking on everyone’s doors at 2am. Couldn’t take the food from the lobby breakfast upstairs to your room. Found a receipt from 8/15/25 on 9/13/25 wrapped in the sheets showing that they do not change sheets in between. Stains on the beds and on the curtains. 3rd floor smelled like cat piss. Pool has been closed due to health purposes for over a month! Ice machines do not work and ice room was flooded with no wet floor signs. Cops were there every single day of my stay multiple times. People sleeping in the lobby.

I have stayed at many Comfort Inns across the country and never had a problem. They are not the lap of luxury, but I am not looking for that. I want a clean place where everything works. At this Comfort Inn, very little worked properly. First the card key wasn't properly coded. Not a big deal but had to lug my things back down to the desk to try again. Got into the room and it was freezing. It was one of those nights where neither air nor heat was needed. So I tried to turn the AC off. Wouldn't shut off. Called the desk, they promised to send someone in 10 minutes, which apparently means never. The AC finally did shut off, but in the meantime, the TV did not work, "No signal." I gave up and went to bed. In the morning, breakfast was terrible and there were no forks. No towel racks for the thin towels. Water pressure weak. There was dried mud or construction residue on the floor and walls of the elevator. I thought Comfort Inns were all pretty much the same, solid, decent places to spend the night. Corporate needs to check in on this one,.

Hotel was not clean at all and i found a roach in the hotel. Do not plan on staying here again.

The staff was never available. The rooms are dirty. The neighborhood was very sketchy.! The breakfast is horrible. Even the coffee was undrinkable and there was really no breakfast options.

The hotel needs repairs which don't seem to be in progress. The room was NOT cleaned properly. There was mold on the shower curtain, mildew smell in the room and hallways. The elevator buttons don't light so you can't tell if it registered your button pressing. The vending machine room was seriously flooded and not a single caution sign about the wet floor. No one in sight to attend to it. The single staff member at the front desk spent more time on his phone and sitting in the lounge chairs, not even behind the desk.

Filthy room, no ice, no pool since Aug 11th the whole reason I went there cause it had a pool. Flood on 3rd floor where orherbroken ice machine was. I wouldn't let a dog stay there, it should be condemned. I checked out 10 minutes after I checked in.
