Clarion Hotel & Conference Center Lewiston

I never stayed the night. I showed up and spoke to the man behind the counter. looked at the room and told him it wouldn't suit my needs and I wouldn't be checking in. I was told to reach out to booking.com. I did that. they reached out to the hotel and my money was never refunded. very unprofessional.

the parking lot was dirty. staff barely spoke English.

Did Not Like NOT Getting a refund For Checking out A Day Early

A total disaster. Overrun with illegal immigrants. When we arrived, the police and firetrucks surrounded the building and we refused entry. You could smell the filth from the parking lot. We later found out that the buildings had been recently condemned. Vastly different from the website pictures. Look elsewhere.

There was such a strong obnoxious smell that I started to get a migraine, and the bathroom ceiling looked like it might fall on our heads at any moment. We were unable to stay in this hotel.

First off, when i arrived late on a Thursday evening, for the two-night stay i had booked thru Hotels.com BACK IN JUNE - they had NO RECORD of my reservation!!! :( also, my cousin (who also has reservations at the same hotel, for the same two nights, and i agreed that the pictures she saw on their website made the property look MUCH BETTER than it did in person - also, hallway was VERY NOISY on Friday night, the second night of my stay having said all of that - once i got checked in, my overall stay was adequate

It was a clean room with what was needed for the night. It wasn’t exceptional, but sufficient.

There was a blinking light on the smoke detector that was annoying all night. It was so bright. Towels were worn and should be replaced. Shower was hot then ice cold then hot.

I arrived with 3 kids and couldn't stay here. First, the rooms were filthy. Stains on the carpet, mildew and dirt in the shower/tub, hand prints on the wall, musty/mold smell. Our toilet water was running. When I told the man at the front desk he said, "it still works." I told him it would be too noisy to sleep with and asked for maintenance to come take a look (it was 5pm). He said no one would be there to fix it until the next day. Then we saw men who were obviously coming home from work (they had reflective type vests on like construction workers) who were clearly living in the hotel. They started BBQing in the parking lot. On the way out we looked at the indoor pool that was so cloudy you couldn't see the bottom. I told the man at check in that I couldn't stay there with my kids. He said fine but I'd have to get a refund through the third party reservation system I used. When that company called they were told by the hotel that they had refunded us (they hadn't).
