Very nice room. We stayed for 5 nights in the room with the pool which was great! The large pool is also very nice and the hotel staff is very friendly.

The location is ~20 minutes from Arugam Bay where there’s surfing and other services. It cost 2,500 rupees each way by Tuktuk. We rented one and drove it ourselves for the flexibility and since we found ourselves going to Arugam Bay twice a day. There’s also no spa or yoga classes at the hotel and it’s not walking distance to any restaurants or other relevant places. The hotel photos seem outdated. The place is nice and we liked it a lot but it doesn’t look as nice as in the photos (maybe looked like this in the past but now need some investment in maintenance).

צוות נחמד מאוד. השתדל , שדרג כשיכלו, נענו לכל בקשה. חדרים מרווחים יפים. נקי מאוד עם מעט הערות נקיון... מחליפים מצעים ומגבות כל יום.

רחוק מארוגום 20-25 דקות אין גלישה סמוכה. מתחיל להתיישן .דלתות העץ של חדר האמבט צריכות שדרוג/ניקוי. המסעדה מאוד יקרה מנות קטנות לא משביעות ולא טעימות. לוותר. אכלנו שם כי לא נוסעים בשבת.

La localisation au calme loin de l’agitation d’Arugam bay, spot de surf au bord d’une lagune à 10 minutes en tuk tuk. La piscine et la vue mer. Chambre confortable avec petite piscine privée. L’équipe était très gentille.

Le service et l’entretien du lieu ne sont pas à la hauteur d’un hôtel 5 étoiles. 6 transats pour toute la piscine, des tables de pique nique au bord de la piscine. Un pool bar qui n’a jamais été ouvert pendant tout notre séjour. Un filet de beach volley déchiré. Pas d’espace transat sur la plage. Des équipements vieillissants et mal entretenus. De la tôle qui traîne dans le jardin. Pas de mini bar dans la chambre, pas de peignoirs ni chaussons, etc. Personnel inexistant (personne à la piscine) et pas formé aux standards d’un 5 étoiles. Prix très élevé comparé aux hôtels de même standing ou nous avons séjourné au Sri Lanka pour lesquels la qualité de service et des équipements était très nettement supérieure. Prix du restaurants exorbitants Dommage car le lieu a énormément de potentiel, du charme et est au calme.

Nous avions réservé une chambre pour une valeur tres élevé au regard du sri Lanka. En arrivant a 14h30 la chambre n était pas prête. En synthèse la prestation est OK mais absolument pas pour ce tarif : salle de déjeuner peu climatisée, 5 transats pour tout l hôtel, terrain de volley a l abandon, déchets dans l enceinte de l hôtel, terrasse autour de la piscine non entretenue et tres mauvaise état : trous, vis, toilettes extérieurs non entretenues et dégradés... Petit déjeuner tres moyen et beaucoup trop gras. Cet établissement est a minima 2 fois trop cher.

We had a wonderful day at Aprota Villas. The property is stunning and incredibly peaceful. The entire space feels thoughtfully maintained from the gardens to the rooms. The rooms were spacious, spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The Wi-Fi worked very well throughout our stay, and it is not too far from the hotel to the surfing sites that made it so easy to explore the area. The staff were incredibly helpful, always ready to assist with a smile.

Priyantha, the Chef, and the entire team provided exemplary service, ensuring our short stay was both comfortable and pleasant. The cuisine was of a high standard, with the Sri Lankan breakfast standing out as one of the finest we have experienced recently, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. WiFi connectivity was reliable in both guest rooms and common areas, supporting uninterrupted access to streaming services such as Netflix and Youtube. While the hotel is situated at some distance from central Arugam Bay, Priyantha facilitated an efficient transfer arrangement, making travel to and from Arugam Bay both convenient and cost-effective. We anticipate returning for a longer stay before the season concludes.

After 2 weeks in Sri Lanka we wanted a luxury one night stay somewhere special, and we certainly got that. The place is beautiful and well kept. The staff are very friendly and professional. The food was fantastic and the chefs clearly know what they are doing. We stayed in a bungalow with your own small private pool, and the bed was so comfortable. It was so nice to have some peace and quiet. Thank you all for a wonderful day and evening. Highly recommend!
