The Dower House Apartments

Dower House Apartments is a beautiful old building on the edge of Lincoln and was just right for us for a four night stay. First floor apartment which had every amenity needed and spacious wasn't the word, a huge place for us, a couple! We like a spacious area and this had it in abundance, very impressed. Our host popped up to see if we were settled in okay and who we saw watering the plants from time to time. Ample parking outside, a lovely quiet area and the evening song of the blackbirds was a pleasure to hear. We came for a concert for one night at Lincoln Castle but toured the area the rest of the time and the location was excellent for us to do that. Couldn't fault it and understand when told there was repeat visiting, we would stay without hesitation again too.

Everything. This was an old 2 storey country mansion, completely renovated inside and split into multiple self contained apartment. It was exceptionally luxurious, very spacious, clean, had everything you needed, in a beautiful garden setting, in a quiet country lane, but just 5 mins drive to the city centre. . Our apartment (no 3), even had great views of the cathedral.

Very thoughtful & welcoming host. We picked up the key from the locked box but the host came out to the gate to welcome us and help carry things up to our room. Fresh roses, milk, croissants & crisps ready on arrival. Small misunderstanding re garden expertly solved by providing us with recliners in lovely front garden where we had evening drinks in sunshine. Well equipped and tastefully decorated kitchen/lounge.

30 min walk to town but there's parking in town if you want to drive.
