Taos Valley Lodge

Staff was buy running the restuarant and bar. Nice big rooms for just crashing on a ski trip, but wouldn't want to stay at hotel to hang out. Parking lot a bit sketchy. Room did not provide basics like kleenex or facecloths.

Well maintained clean property with restaurant and coffee bar onsite. Driving distance from shops and attractions.

Cheap rooms with small bathrooms. False advertising on how many people a room sleeps. No batteries in smoke detectors. Mostly a trucker lodge, with some sketch people. Choose a nicer place with the same price somewhere else in Taos.

The room had new fridge microwave which was nice. Location was quiet. Room was clean.

There is a big gap under the ac/heat unit the allowed outdoor air to blow into the room 218 2nd floor. I had to stuff it with blanket and pillows to get any heat in the room. Heat could was very very difficult to regulate. This needs to be fixed. I already asked for a change to a brighter room so just dealt with it.

Nice hotel, close to downtown. It is being renovated, will maybe get 5 stars when that is done. Older style motel, outside entrance, it was clean.
